Experienced teacher of Statistics available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of skills. I typically use books, and also have the tools available to use during lessons.

About Akib

I am eager and equally interested in applying to offer my skill. With the academic and leadership qualities that you are looking for, I believe I would be able to contribute to the objectives.
I am presently enrolled in New York Institute of Technology as a junior in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and hopefully I will complete my bachelors by May 2015. I am thrilled to know that you are looking for a tutor and I feel that this is the perfect platform for me.
As a result of my previous work experience in the Learning Center in my college for the last couple of years, I believe
I am well equipped with not only academic qualifications but also experience of working in an energetic and dynamic environment. I have been also serving for a tutoring Center, Math Matters and very much familiar with the new Common Core Curriculum. I am also familiar with Regions Curriculum I have also served as a Supplemental Instructor for Physics that adds to my leadership abilities.
An opportunity to be able to work will prove to be mutually beneficial. While I will be able to gain further experience about the real-world applications of teaching, I believe that will also be a great addition to the working terms and contribute to the your goals and objectives.

Alex P.

Merrick, NY

.

About Alex

I have been teaching private lessons since 2001 and I am currently available to teach lessons online or in my office. As a professor , I have helped students in a number of computer science and math oriented areas including standardizes tests, as well as helping them have the confidence to overcome struggles with difficult subjects.

I believe that learning should be fun and engaging, and that no one perfect method exists to teach all students. During our lessons I try to take note of whats working and whats not, and when I find types of examples that work, I keep using them to help you acc
elerate your learning .

Where to start. Alex is a just a great all around person. He makes learning fun. As long as you put in the time and effort he will guide you through to where you need to be. Never a dull moment, as his lessons bring out the best in you. I would highly recommend going to him, as his style is very different than other tutors or professors. He encourages you to engage in what you are studying; to be proactive and animated, which ultimately leads to results, while having fun in the process. His style is the way learning in general should be. His techniques will train you to remain calm in the face of adversity. You will not regret going to Alex. Again, as long as you put in the time, he will help you get the results you want.

D. Michael D.

New York, NY

My last student I tutored was taking online college basic statistics and received an "A". I can help you with the fundamentals of statistics such as confidence intervals, t-tests and hypothesis testing.

About D. Michael

I graduated with a 3.8 GPA from the State University of New York at Stony Brook with a degree in Chemistry. I was one of ten nominees for valedictorian of my graduating college class of 4,000 and inducted into the phi beta kappa college honor society.

I was recently hired by NYC as a substitute teacher and I love the job. I have been asked by both NYC and San Antonio to become a full time teacher but declined since I prefer freelance work. I worked in the corporate world until quitting in 2000 to pursue careers as an entrepreneur and tutor. I moved from San Antonio to NYC in pursuit of mor
e technology driven business opportunities. One side benefit of NYC is that one of my favorite hobbies is acting.

I am available for online tutoring. For home tutoring please message me for availability.

It is also critically important for students to learn the tactics of test taking in the process of gaining every advantage. In addition, learning the theory is much more important the memorizing the formula.

Dr. Arnold F.

Jamaica, NY

I teach college classes in Statistics and Probability. I do ONLINE tutoring as well as in-person. When I am helping a student my job is not to tutor but to teach.

About Dr. Arnold

Hello,

I have a Ph.D. in Math and have been teaching college math courses and tutoring HS math courses for over 40 years. My top subjects are Statistics, Probability, Calculus, Discrete Math, Finite Math as well as HS AP and pre-calculus classes.

I tutor in-person as well as online. With online tutoring I can be contacted on short notice and if I am free we can connect immediately so I can give homework assistance or help prep for an exam.

For In-Person tutoring I am near Queens College and St. John's University if meeting on campus is convenient.

I have been successfully tutorin
g students for as long as I have been teaching. My goal is to give my students the ability to understand the mathematical concepts that will enable him or her to do well in their particular course.

I know that math does not come easily to everyone and I tailor my tutoring to go at a pace that is appropriate for each individual.

It is just as important for a tutor to listen to the student as it is for the student to pay attention to the tutor.

I look forward to putting my tutoring to work to help you meet and exceed your expectations.

Dr. F. was extremely patient with my son. He always made sure to go over the questions until my son was able to do them on his own. We were able to contact him and get online help right away which was great when my son was stuck on a homework assignment. If anyone asks if I would recommend him I would give an emphatic yes!

I am a doctoral-level student and haven't taken a statistics course since being an undergraduate over 15 years ago. As such, Arnold has been tremendous in helping me revisit this topic, and I firmly believe he has the skillset to do this no matter what the student's level educational level is. He is extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and patient. I highly recommend him as a tutor. You will not be disappointed!
