I competed in International Ballroom Latin Dance from the age of 8-18. When attending NYU I began to teach and choreograph in nyc studios. Everything from self confidence dance lessons, to wedding dance choreography. Private and group lessons.

I quickly noticed the immensely therapeutic effects of taking dance lessons for my students, everything from self esteem to confidence to take their partner onto the dance floor. As well as building trust in connection. I became a dance therapist in 2007 and have been working with it since.

But I LOVE partner dance. So I offer everything from;

My name is Steve and I offer Private Online Dance Lessons. I specialize in teaching beginners and I enjoy watching my students progress quickly and meet their goals. I’m very passionate about teaching and dancing and I make sure that everyone’s dance journey is filled with fun, friendship, understanding.
My students always leave with a smile, saying they feel more motivated and energized after the lesson. I adjust to their learning style, keep instructions clear, simple and do my best to make them feel free to express themselves; to let them know mistakes are part of the learning process and to move towards their specific goals with every session.

I teach both Salsa on 1 and on 2 - very similar and yet very different in mannerisms. And let's not forget the Merengue, and Bachata.

I've been teaching private lessons since 2008 and have loved helping my students feel good about what they are learning, and accomplishing the goals they set forth.

Learn to dance for your wedding, social dancing, or just for a fun way to stay active! I teach several styles of Latin and Ballroom dance.

My lessons focus on connecting with your partner and being in tune with his or her movements. A proper connection makes it easy to quickly learn new steps, and to move together as naturally as possible.

For online/video lessons: You might think a partner dance would be hard to learn online; to learn to lead or follow well, it's important to have tactile feedback in order to feel the relationship between your movement and the results from your partner, and vice versa.

However, with attention to body mechanics and a focus on alignment and movement technique, you can still learn a lot online. Especially if the thought of group classes is intimidating for you, starting with online lessons can help you learn some basics at your own ...
