About Nicole
I have been studying violin for 17 years and have performed all kinds of music from classical to rock. As of Spring 2016 I completed two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Music and Psychology and two Graduate Certificate in the Suzuki Technique and the Alexander Technique. During my education I was fortunate enough to study violin with Jerilyn Jorgensen and Brad Watson. As well as, perform in the Lamont Symphony Orchestra. I was also able to study violin, music performance, and composition with Carlo Feige, Roberto Andreoni, and Simone Fontenelli in Milan, Italy for 4 months during my junior year. D
uring my undergraduate degree i chose to accompany my music with a psychology degree, focusing on cognition as well as social and child psychology.

Given the extensive nature of my musical training and my great passion for music, specifically the violin, I can offer a student an engaging and instructive experience, that will allow them to reach any goal.

*** Lesson Details ***
I take an all inclusive approach to teaching violin, that encourages students to proactively participate in the learning process. My lessons are geared around encouraging a student's creativity and musicality while at the same time providing them with the tools to work through each piece and each technical aspect of playing the violin.

*** Studio Equipment ***

Nicole is a very educated and skilled musician that offers a lot of insight to new and intermediate violin players. Her lessons focus on technique in various areas such as bowing strategies, shifting, and scales in various keys, and Nicole is always prepared to teach her students these skills and help them along the way.
We highly recommend her!

My daughter has been taking violin lessons from Nicole for almost 2 years. I appreciate Nicole's patience, the variety of techniques she uses to ensure proper posture, bow grip, etc; and the fact that the lessons are tailored to each individual student and their musical interests and habits. We will miss her when she moves out of the Denver area!

About Rebecca
I have 48 years of teaching experience, from beginners to advanced students. I also teach the people no one else thinks are teachable because I work with people from where they are and find their best learning styles. Several of my students are now professional musicians, but that's not everyone's course. I teach every age range from 3-83 and everything from classical to country-western. And I teach every orchestral and band instrument, and guitar, bass, and drum kit and some instruments you've never heard of. I also teach voice, pop, rock, opera, doesn't matter to me.

*** Lesson Detai
ls ***
Important Note: I will no longer take new students that want lessons every other week, beginning Nov 1. Inconsistent lessons, especially with younger students, allows them to forget too much between sessions.

What I teach is transferable to EVERY endeavor whether it's music or math or soccer. I require practice on the student's part. You will be able to play recognizable songs within your first month. You tell me what you or your child wants out of music lessons, and I will tell you exactly how to get it.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Lesson will happen in a space next to the family room which is upstairs. Teacher has a collection of instruments, music stands, couches for seating. Park on the street or driveway.

*** Travel Equipment ***

*** Specialties ***
I'm flexible. I have taught everything from country western guitar to classical guitar, from Jazz trumpet to orchestral audition music, from barbershop singing to Broadway musical singing. I have even taught ballet. I cater my methods to the student's best learning style.

About Timothy
Hi, my name is Tim Houston and I am Trumpet player and music instructor in the Omaha, NE metro area. I graduated with a Bachelor's in Music Performance from the University of Nebraska Omaha in 2012 and have been teaching private lessons since 2014.

My style of teaching is easy-going and conversational, using various explanations to find what each student understands best. I specialize in teaching beginners and focus on building a core understanding of music theory through scales and chords while emphasizing great tone on the Trumpet. After my students become comfortable with notes, major &
minor scales, and major & minor chords, I move on to simple composition and student-driven transcription.

When I'm not teaching I am playing in community bands and gigging in the metro area. I play and record with Latin bands, rock groups, wind bands, brass ensembles, musicals (from high school to professional), and church groups.

I look forward to meeting you!

About Cameron
I am a professionally trained percussionist, guitarist, and sound-engineer. I graduated from Fort Hays State University with a Bachelors or Arts degree in Music Technology, and a Masters of Professional Studies in Music Performance.

I am great with young or beginning students. I tailor each lesson to fit the students interests, as well as give them a strong general music foundation to carry them through their musical endeavors! I have worked with many students in a variety of styles, including rock, finger-picking, jazz, song-writing and country.

I have been giving lessons to students of al
l ages in percussion, guitar, electric bass, and beginner piano for about 4 years. I taught one of the guitar studios at FHSU, as well as some percussion students as part of my graduate assistantship. I am passionate about helping students of all ages reach their musical goals and have fun while doing it!

I love to perform with other musicians! I have participated in many musical ensembles while at FHSU, including both jazz ensembles, both concert bands, marching band, pep band, both choirs, and the percussion ensemble. I have also been a wedding DJ for the past four years, and a radio station manager for the last two years. I sit in with a small jazz quartet when I am available and I frequently play with a country band around northeastern Kansas.

I truly love teaching one-on-one lessons. I especially love working with beginners so I can start them off on the right path!

The lessons began by discovering what level I was at currently at and working from that point forward. Dexterity exercises along with creativity training really moved me forward. I am so blessed to have worked with him! He really knows his stuff!

I took bass lessons from Cameron through a college class. In just one semester (one lesson a week) I learned a years worth of music theory. Cameron explained it in a way that made sense. I learned a lot in the time taking lessons. Also became more confident in my playing because I learned about scales and many other aspects that help with playing around on the frets. Cameron is a great teacher and I would recommend to anyone!

Cameron is an amazing instructor. I started off taking drum classes from him as a part of his graduate work, and enjoyed the classes so much I decided to take them privately. Mr. Shoemaker has a good way of figuring out where people are at with their skill level and giving them goals and tips to help them improve. I consider it an honor to have taken classes from him.
