This will cover every period of classical piano music, from baroque, to romantic, to impressionistic piano music.

About Anthony
Having an ear for music of all styles and genres, I had an interest in playing music and instruments at a very young age. At just 5 years old, I took my first piano lesson. I studied with that piano teacher for another 10 years, working on technique, theory and classical music, including playing piano recitals as a performer. I practiced piano to become a solo classical musician. Then in middle school, I joined the symphonic band where I was exposed and learned to play instruments in the percussion section, including drums, xylophone and marimba, and other instruments. At the same time, I joined the middle school jazz band. This was my first transition both as a piano player and musician into a new genre of music and playing. Needless to say, I fell in love with the music. In 2005, I auditioned and was the only pianist accepted into the c
lassical piano department in the School of the Arts High School of San Francisco. There I went through rigorous classical training and learned vast amounts of repertoire. At the same time, I still studied and played jazz in the high school Big Band, Latin Jazz band and small jazz combo. It was during this time that I deeply focused on not only Jazz music and improvisation, but also Salsa, Latin Jazz, R&B, Funk, Pop. Basically all other forms and styles of music. I learned what it means to be in a band and how to make an ensemble sound good and to make an audience like and cheer for the music. I was lucky to have bands and musicians to play with all around San Francisco, including jazz festivals.

After graduating as the only student to study in the Piano department for 4 years in my graduating class, I was accepted with scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston. I started my first semester in 2009, and declared a Piano Performance and Jazz Composition Dual Major in 2010. At Berklee, I studied under amazing piano teachers to focus on my jazz playing and technique and repertoire. Some of the classes I took included music theory, ear training, composition and arranging, scoring and analysis, even guitar and bass labs. As well, I was the main piano player for the Berklee Salsa Ensemble for 3 straight years. I was also involved with bands and playing recitals, shows, clubs, outdoors and indoor venues throughout Boston and Massachusetts. I had the honor of being hired by Berklee to travel and play along with other selected students at the Carnaval de Barranquilla honoring Joe Arroyo. This was the most memorable musical experience for me yet, as I played along great musicians for hundreds of people in a theater, including Joe Arroyo sharing the stage with the band.

All of this experience and training is what I bring to my lessons and tutoring sessions. I teach my students how to prepare themselves for any kind of musical situation, from music theory and technique, to piano playing and repertoire, and understanding and playing all kinds of styles and genres of music. Most of all, I teach my students to be unique in their musical endeavors and to bring out their own voice through music. And the most important element of all, the happiness and joy it brings to the students and others.

*** Lesson Details ***
In my piano and music lessons, you will be learning music theory, proper piano technique, ear training, sight reading, and repertoire. It will be up to the student to determine what genre and style of music they want to learn and study. It can be anything from classical music, jazz, or even Funk and R&B music and more. My students will also develop an ear, meaning that instead of only focusing on written material and music in sheet music format, they will learn to hear intervals and chords, and also play or sing back melodies.

My teaching style is very easy to get along with. I don't pressure or push students by being too strict. When learning music, being hard and strict gets the student nowhere. I approach the student with listening and understanding. It's my job to see the students advantages and keep them strong, as well as working on bringing up weaknesses and what's needed to make the student excel in both playing technique, and all other musical aspects.

When it comes to proper piano technique, I always teach my students with "Hanon, the Virtuoso Pianist in sixty excercises", and "Scales, Chords & Arpeggios" by James Bastien. After 3-6 months as my student, you will progress in your technique skills, ear training, repertoire and memorization

This teacher is impossible to get a hold of. Tried leaving several voicemails and text messages. He has a couple different phone #'s. Don't know which, if any, is the active # to use. No response from him ever. Couldn't reschedule because of this. Plus he lied and said I never contacted him. Now I am out a ton of money for lessons I wasn't able to use. Very greedy. I am not happy.

I am accepting new private students for piano lessons. I have extensive experience teaching children and adults of all levels for 29 years. I also conducted many large projects like musicals with children and they enjoy working with me very much. I have a PhD in Music and I'm a professor at Tennessee State University.

I'm very good with little ones. They think we play on the piano while I'm doing my job. My first aim is to welcome them to world of music and share my love of music. This is very important for me as once they feel and understand music, it will have an important place in their lives.

My sessions for ages between 4-6 will be 30 minutes most but I highly advice 1 hour of lessons for older students, teenagers and adults.

About Dr. Tem
“As an artist/educator who has a childlike soul, I both feel and sense life, and reflect this through my art; teaching is the best way to share and convey this understanding to younger generations. “Revealing students’ spirits with the love of music and helping them to use it with passion while making music” is my main philosophy in teaching.”

Dr. Tem

A composer and music technologist. Composing experience is diverse and includes composing for orchestras, and composing with computers for multimedia, computer games and film. Academic, research and work experience in Music Composition, Film Scoring, Music Theory and Ear Training, Piano, E-Learning, Music Technology, Computer Music, Sound Design, Game Audio and Game Technologies among favorite areas. If you are looking for professional music lessons for learning to play the piano, I am a perfect match for you.
I am a professional pianist with substantial experience in teaching piano for students of different ages. I hold a Mater of Music in Piano Performance from Kharkiv National University of Arts, Ukraine, and a Master of Music degree from Anton Rubinstein International Music Academy, Germany in cooperation with " Giacomo Puccini's" State Music Conservatory, Italy.
While in Germany, I was performing as a solo pianist, playing chamber music and teaching at a private music academy.
As an experienced piano teacher I would say that no matter what kind/style of music you prefer to play, it is always better to have a classical background. It does not mean that you only need to focus on the classics, but learning and working on things like your technique, understanding harmony and music theory will help you in the future no matter what you decide to do: teaching, performing, ...

About Alena
As an experienced musician and piano teacher, I offer piano lessons for everyone who is willing to learn how to play the instrument and is passionate about it.
For some of us playing the piano could be a serious, life changing way of making a career as a famous musician and bringing your dream and passion to the next level.
For some of us it could be a nice hobby, where you can express your feeling and emotions by performing or composing music.
It's for you to decide but no matter what you are doing in your life, you should be passionate about it!

Being a music instructor for over 10 years and having experience teaching in Ukraine, Germany and USA, I try to combine different methods and find individual style of teaching for everyone, who is willing to learn (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced).

I offer individual lesson plans a
nd music material depending on your music taste and personal needs. You don't need to worry about anything, just enjoy what you're doing and I will take care of the rest!

I have been playing piano myself for over 20 years and I would like to share my knowledge with others and have them fall in love with music as I did.

Alena is truly a master at her craft. While she is an excellent teacher and musician that easily shares her passion with students, her skill level deserves an audience. It is truly a rare occurrence that an individual possessing such unparalleled talent would be willing to teach all levels. Nevertheless, with humility and graciousness her unending love of music makes her the ABSOLUTE BEST instructor for those seeking to master the craft. This is NOT a teacher/student trying to pay her way through school. She is a tested and experienced professional fully capable of sharing her artistry and teaching all, regardless of skill level.

I teach how to read, play, collaborate and listen. I take an interest in the student in particular, by allowing them to work towards being able to play their favorite songs on the piano. I always include fun activities into my lesson plans, which are always relative to the students' age. I am not only a teacher, but also a mentor - one that will help students get where they want to be with their lessons, regardless of how high their goals are set.

About Alan
Hi there!

I began taking lessons on the piano around the age of 5, and through time and work I developed a passion for this instrument. I continued throughout junior high, under the instruction of Will Bailey of Scottsbluff, Ne. and high school, under the instruction of Mical Thurow. Often times we would have recitals, so I learned a lot about playing and performing under these instructors, all of which I continue to teach my students. I continued playing throughout college, where I majored in piano performance and music technology. Throughout my performance degree, I was required to give a 40 minute long recital, which I completed with the works of Beethoven, Brahms, Schubert, Debussy and Chopin. I recently graduated in May of 2017, and have been continuing to teach lessons to students and pass on the gift of music.

I have been teaching piano for 40 years. My teaching style is specially geared to each individual student of any age. I keep the lessons interesting and appropriate to the ability of the student. Lessons include learning correct use of posture, fingers, hands, learning to read notes, use of timing, scales, chords, discipline of practice, and the pleasure of playing the piano. Teaching piano and watching a student progress has been a passion of mine for a very long time.

About Gail
Hello to all potential students. I have been teaching piano for 42 years. This has been a truly rewarding experience for me over the years. I studied piano beginning at eight years, old enjoying many different types of music. I excelled because of my dedication and love of piano. I did go to college for music and have been teaching piano ever since.

I enjoy all types of students from beginners to intermediate, trying to keep the lessons interesting and designed for each individual students' need. For beginners, we will learn how to read notes, keep time/rhythm, use of positioning and correct use of posture, and the many facets of reading and loving music. It is also important to learn the discipline of practice and learn the love of playing this beautiful instrument. For students who have some knowledge of music and/or piano
, we will find where you are at and go on from there.

I continue my love of music by accompanying for a choral group for 40 years and directing/designing musical shows. Music is a wonderful gift and piano is a great choice.

If you are looking for a knowledgeable, experienced, and (very) patient piano teacher, look no further. As an adult learner....with absolutely NO piano playing experience...I can honestly say that Gail started from where I was, and we gradually moved forward from there. Lessons are always fun, and light-hearted, in a serious kind of way.

Honestly...if I can get from, "Which one is middle C?" to Chopin, with Gail as my piano teacher, she must be good (did I mention VERY patient?).

I like to create individualized lessons for each student according to their tastes in music. Students can pick their own songs to learn and I can arrange the songs for any level. I adapt my teaching skills to each student's learning style and I realize that every student is different in how they learn. With over 30 years of teaching experience, I have found ways to help the student learn piano as quickly as possible.

About Lynn
I have dedicated my life to teaching music to piano students of all ages and levels. Over the past 30 years of teaching, I have found many shortcuts in make the learning process go as fast as possible. Each student who comes to me enjoys learning songs they pick out to play. I can arrange songs in all levels for any student to learn. Each student will also learn the best techniques for a great sound on the piano right from the beginning to not sound like a beginner. My goal is to have the student hear the beauty of the piano in what they are playing. I love teaching music theory which also facilitates the learning process when learning to play music.
