I can play any number of styles from blues and country to hard rock and heavy metal I've been playing guitar for about 15 years now. I know music theory very well and I'm great with making the theory part fun to learn while teaching to play a style that the student prefers. I'm an easy going guy and really patient. I make the promise to every student that I will give them every bit of effort and support I can to propel them in their music career. I'm one of those people who gets along with everybody and I like to make my lessons fun for each student.

About Garrett

I've been playing guitar for about 15 years now and I've played in just about every type of band. After playing in a metal band for about 5 years I switched over to a classic rock group for a couple years. In both of those groups I was lead guitar/lead vocals. Now for the last few years I've bee

Great lesson, loads to learn!!!

I tried learning guitar a number of years ago. Garrett was great getting me started back into guitar. He quickly got me going with some simple chords and techniques. He has a strong understanding of guitar and makes it easy to understand. + he can play anything!
Derrick
What can I say about Garrett. I have never met a better guitarist in my 20 years of playing. Taking lessons with him was one of the best decisions I ever made. I would pay him double. No matter the guitar style, Garrett seems to have played it for years and has real insight on any of the different styles from Blues, to Country, to Rock, to Classic Rock, to Metal. He helped me not just learn riffs or songs but scales and has bug in teaching me more advanced music theory as well. He truly is the perfect mix of good person and amazing guitarist. Don’t miss the chance to learn from one of the best no matter your skill level!

"What's that knob do?" "What happens if I press this button?" Square wave? Pulse wave? FM? ADSR? LFO?...
AUUUUGH!!
If you know absolute zero, or maybe a little about synthesis, here's your chance to learn what all those knobs and blinky lights do. Starting with the most basic concepts (waveforms, filters, sound manipulation, etc.), we'll get you up and running on your shiny new toy.
No dull, lab-coated lectures here! We can go as slow, or as fast as you want, with a bit of dry humor sprinkled about.
Since it's easier to get where you're going if you know where you've been, you'll learn just enough history to hopefully inspire you to search further in your quest for synth enlightenment.

About Doug

Doug has been involved with synthesizers since 1976, his first being a PAiA Gnome kit. Early influences include Tangerine Dream, Todd Rundgren, Brian Eno, David Bowie, and Isao Tomita. Since then, he has steadily worked his way up the synth food chain. He now owns a LOT of analog and digital synths

What makes my trumpet lessons unique is that I approach the instrument in a very pedagocial and simple approach. The basis of sound and ease of playing is always a top priority for myself and my students. I strive to make playing the trumpet fun and challenging and strive to make the best music I possibly can with my students as I know they are also striving to become a better musician and person.

About Jeremy

Jeremy was great! My daughter’s first lesson went very well. Her first instructor joined the military, so we were left to select someone new. By God’s grace and a lot of help from Michael at TakeLessons, we landed on Jeremy’s profile. We couldn’t have gotten a better instructor the second time around! It’s like an extension of the first lessons! Jeremy is knowledgeable, kind, sincere, laid back, patient, and encouraging. What more could we ask for? As a mother, I really appreciate his communication with me via phone and email. If you are looking for a great instructor, you can do no better than Jeremy!

Honestly could not have asked for a better instructor! I have heard nothing but good things from my kid, as well as seeing improvement in her playing. Very punctual and friendly!

"I'm still very grateful that I found Megan and feel blessed to have this opportunity to work with her. Today my irritation with my progress was very high heading into the lesson but she rightly met it with patience and compassion, trying to understand my complaint and adjust the lesson plan to fit my needs. I'm realizing that learning to read, write, speak, and listen to music is not an even process. I'm having growth spurts with feelings of exuberance and then flutter to utter confusion. Overall I think that's probably pretty normal, for me anyway, because I care so much about what I'm doing. This is not an easy topic. I hope to feel more comfortable with the parts of it that are burdening me by this time next year; I'll probably be overwhelmed by something out of my scope of the moments consideration like composing music I want to play and hear. Thank you Megan."

"My 12 year old began taking guitar lessons from Jeremie a few months ago and so far it has worked out perfectly. My son hadn't picked up a pick before Jeremie. And now he is genuinely interested. Jeremie is patient and fun and just right for my son.

From a logistics perspective, I can't say enough. Jeremie is reliable and communicates promptly and effectively. He works with us in scheduling conflicts and is as flexible as he can be.

I highly recommend Jeremie for lessons for you or your child."
