I love music, and I love teaching children to play the piano! I teach classical and sacred music. I have played for many special events (weddings/funerals/church worship team). Growing up in a one-income family, I understand the difficulty of finding affordable music lessons. My low price enables families with multiple children to have piano lessons they can afford. I have flexibility to service home-school families during the day. In my piano room, there is a large table where waiting students can quietly play games or do homework. I am approximately two miles from North Lake mall with quick access to I-485 and I-77.

I am an adult who has no experience with any type of instrument and was very nervous and intimidated at first. Then I met with Michael, and though there was a ton of information we had to go through, he really made me feel at ease. He has the knowledge, patience, and understanding I was really looking for in a teacher and I'm so happy I found him!

With his flexibility and willingness to accommodate us my daughter learned a lot from him. He was a wonderful teacher and a great person to do business with.

My approach to mandolin focuses on fun, uplifting music-making while developing good technique. This allows for instant fun with simultaneous development. In my lessons, we will cover mandolin playing as well as the mandolin's place in various ensembles as well as good jam etiquette that will make playing with others as fun and satisfying as possible. My favorite styles include bluegrass, Irish, old-time, jazz, classical, and rock-n-roll. We will really nerd out on what makes the mandolin so special!

I've been teaching voice for over 10 years. My approach is grounded in eliminating tension and helping my students to achieve a healthy, neutral tone that can handle any genre or style.

I believe singing is a more beautiful, and calculated form of speech. By helping students make the connection between the two, we are able to demystify the art of singing, expand vocal range, improve tone, and add ease and confidence to my student's vocal ability.

About Terell

Terell has been teaching private lessons since 2008 and is currently available to teach lessons at his studio, and online. Terell has helped students expand vocal range, eliminate vocal tension, refine tone/quality, and develop their unique vocal style. Terell received his training at the Manha

"I am a singer/songwriter and I took drum lessons to help me with my songwriting and to lay down drum tracks while recording, and also work on my timing issues. The drum lessons were tailored to what I wanted and what I needed to learn. If you are a musician and don’t know how to play drums it essential
to know the different type styles and feels to create. In my opinion these lessons are priceless!"

"Three Reasons to take lessons from Josh:
1. He's a musical genius. Seriously, the man knows his stuff.
2. Hes a fabulous teacher. Whatever your learning style, learning preference, difficulties, etc. he has an approach that will help make you into a better musician and performer. He wants to teach you WHATEVER it is you want to learn about music and performance, not just the basics-he wants to find out how music engages you personally, which is a rare and really cool thing.
3. He works at your pace. you can work on improving your skills as slow (or as fast) as you want.

Basically, Josh is a wonderful teacher with a wealth of technical skill and talent in addition to a great deal of compassion and patience making him everything a person could really ask for in a teacher. I recommend him whole heartedly!"

Is Cello Hard to Learn? Read THIS Before Taking Lessons

Many beginning musicians wonder, “Is cello hard to learn?” The process of learning the cello is not difficult, but it’s important to keep in mind that the cello is not an instrument of instant gratification. It does require focused, daily practice time and a good teacher to guide you along the way. How far you progress with cello is a direct result of the amount of quality time you put into practicing the instrument. Even someone who puts in just 30 minutes a day will notice a signi …
