About Molly
Raised in New York city, I attended Stuyvesant High School, the jewel in the crown of the NYC public school system. Traditional academic achievement was not enough for me however, and I went on to study fashion design, honing my artistic skills at Drexel University. Call me a renaissance woman or a Jill-of-All-Trades, I've been employed in fashion houses, graphic design firms and visual effects shops. I've also made my way freelancing as a photographer, web designer, and writer. In addition to this variety of creative skills, I have a Bachelors in Business Administration, and training in Quickbooks. I recently scored a perfect 170 on the GRE verbal, and obtained admission into several competitive doctoral programs in Clinical Psychology.

I realize it is not enough to merely have skills or intelligence in order to be a tutor. One must
be able to convey them to the student in a way that is effective and (hopefully) enjoyable. From the helping students prepare a portfolio for undergraduate admission, to teaching the basics of essay writing, I have a warm attentive attitude that sets students of all ages at ease. My teaching style is focused on the learning style of the person I am working with, tailoring the exercises to help achieve specific goals.

About LILY
I am a fashion designer/instructor and former social worker. I am very patient with students and passionate about sewing. I get excited watching students build skills gradually from basic through advanced level techniques.
Also, I am one of the few teachers in the country who teaches the exclusive "Freehand" sewing, which is sewing without ready-made (commercial) pattern, like our grandparents did.
As a social worker, I taught participants in a homeless shelter, how to make various items geared towards independent living. For six years now, I've been teaching at a fabric store in East Harlem where patrons sign up for group sewing lessons as well as private lessons. I teach garment construction, alterations, home decor, and various sewing projects.

About Shannon
I am a creative soul who loves flowers. I enjoy the positive energy that flowers have. All of the different smells, textures and designs are what I have a passion for. I am a self taught floral designer and I have different modern day techniques on how to design, create and process flowers.

I have owned and worked in flowers shops in multiple states and have recently entered the floral event business and I have found it to be a whole other beast. Which, I am absolutely loving! Everything is on a much grander scale. I can do anything from 10 simple centerpieces for a small intimate event to 300 centerpieces, entry pieces, cocktail pieces and whatever else in a matter of hours.

I have worked with some amazing people and I have soaked up some tricks and I feel like sharing what I know. I can show you some basic things such as arrangin
g your everyday flowers to more detailed oriented floral designs like big and airy, low and compact, centerpieces, entry pieces, special event, sympathy, tropical and highend floral styles . There’s so much to learn!

Floral design is very fun and very rewarding. There’s something about working with flowers and creating something beautiful and custom made. Flowers are so very calming and therapeutic. I really enjoy all the positivity surrounding this profession. Flowers do have powers! I love what I do! Let’s get to designing!
