Catherine is a kind, friendly and very patient while teaching me violin lessons. She walked me through Musical Grammar and taught me the details of "Violin instrument". She makes the lessons fun and challenging too which helps us to go to the next level of learning. She gets into the details as to how I'm playing and in the end its just that she wants me to get it right . She has always encouraged me and motivated me to learn. I didn;t know the "ABC's of music but she has taught me alot till date. I'm glad I found her as my music teacher.

I am greatly pleased with the progress I have consistently made in playing the violin through Jonathan’s help. Jonathan has helped me to improve my bowing, string crossing, intonation, rhythm, musicality, and playing 3 octave scales, arpeggios, etudes, Suzuki selections, and classical orchestral music. It is always very clear what to work on during the week."

"Autumn is an excellent teacher! As I am over 50 it is more of a challenge to learn something new, but she is patient and her knowledge, experience, and ability with the violin is a great asset to her instruction. Her focus on teaching me correct technique is laying a good foundation for me to hopefully master this beautiful instrument."

"Tania has been a great teacher for my son. He started learning violin with the Suzuki method and studied with a Suzuki teacher for about four years before stopping lessons. He became interested in violin again in middle school and decided he wanted to take private lessons while in 7th grade. Tania had no trouble getting him back on track, picking up with some Book 2 pieces and moving on to Book 3. She has helped him with his bowing, vibrato and shifting, and his sound has really improved. She also has helped him learn to read better and has introduced some basic music theory into lessons. My son really likes his lessons, and feels that he is learning what he needs. Overall, I like her approach, which I think works very well for this level. She is an excellent musician, and this comes through in her teaching."

"There are many websites that will tell you instructors don't like teaching adults, but Elisa was a wonderful and patient instructor for all ages. She is able to adjust her approach to accommodate all age groups and skill levels. It's important to let Elisa know what your goals are so she can mold the lessons to help accomplish your goals. Elisa also arranges group rehearsals and recitals to broaden the students abilities in group settings (optional)."

Age or Aptitude: When to Start Violin Lessons

Some start optimistically young, others driven by passion start much later in life, but when is the right time to start violin lessons? Like any other form of art, there’s simply no black or white when it comes to exploring music. The right time to start can’t be measured exclusively by age. Some ambitious parents start their kids at the age of two, and while many go off to become YouTube sensations, a whole lot more tend to give up by the age of five. So what should you consider before div …
