I am an avowed uke aficionado, and believe this little instrument has way more potential than most people give it credit for. It works wonderfully for providing basic chords to accompany songs. For the more ambitious and/or adventurous uke players out there, it can also yield amazing results as a solo instrument, presenting the melody and accompaniment together. Jazz, classical, world music and pop are all great on the uke. I'd love to help you learn to do whatever you are looking to do with your uke.

About Luke

I majored in music at Berea College, then went on to The University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where I completed a Masters degree in guitar performance and served as the graduate assistant to the guitar department. For the past ten years I have earned a living performing and teachin

Nick is very knowledgeable and proficient on saxophone, and a dedicated and patient teacher. No matter your level, there’s always more to learn, and I highly recommend Nick for your private instruction.

Nick Stow! I learned a great deal from his private lessons. He understands how to gradually work into good and exceptional habits for practicing as well as performing. I only wish to have had more of an opportunity to perform with and learn from these lessons. As I said, it takes time and patience to come to the skill level Nick is at, but he'll work with you to grow a level you can start to excel at.
Sid
I have been playing the saxophone for over 50 years without a long term period between active playing. Nick has been very effective in my playing ability and I have learned a great deal from him.

My hope is that the violin or viola becomes a constant source of inspiration and ...

Mrs. Hollis is a very kind and patient instructor. She is great at teaching technique and important skills that have to be learned in order to play the violin at your best. My son Ben absolutely loves taking lessons with her and he has learned so much. She is so professional, talented and has so much experience! She is a perfect instructor for anyone who would like to learn to Play the violin!
Olivia
Mrs. Hammonds is such a wonderful teacher! I came to her when I just started high school and was overwhelmed with joy when I found such a great teacher. Focusing on memorization, technique, and working on a solid foundation even after playing for 10 years prior, really reflected in my playing. I think she was the teacher who really showed me why I wanted to play violin and set my foundation up to improve more and more even today!
Kim
As an adult student that let my violin sit idle for too many years, Hollis was able to help me regain some basics skills and build upon them to re-learn different playing styles. Her approach was refreshing and focused on helping me re-learn some classical pieces that were familiar to my background. In addition, she introduced some jazz and fiddle pieces that I was interested in branching out with and worked with me to fine tune bowing techniques for each style.
I would highly recommend Hollis as an instructor for anyone starting out or looking to improve upon existing skills!

"Jarred is hands down the best guitar teacher you could ask for. As I am a working adult and it’s tough to take the time to learn new things, Jarred takes each lesson at my pace. He also makes sure I am pushing myself week to week so I’m not going too slow either. Other guitar teachers have discouraged me from playing as they have a hard time explaining where to start and get the confidence to keep at it (some are even more interested in showing you their skills instead of teaching you). Jarred is the exact opposite of that. He took time to understand what I wanted to learn and focused on improving my struggles in a way that built my confidence instead of bringing back any past discouraging memories. Instead of quitting again, I now look forward to playing guitar and after a month and a half can play a good chunk of Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd. This is your guy if you really want to learn how to play!"

I played when I was in school nearly 3 decades ago and wanted to remember the joy again of playing. I had forgotten a lot of what I had learned, but knew that with the right teacher, she could help me regain that. And I am hopeful she will help me with that. "Jessica is an excellent instructor and cellist. She has an engaging personality and a creative mind, e.g., explaining concepts several different ways until the student understands. I started new to cello and enjoy lessons, which include technique, theory and individual pieces (separate from the instruction books) that are challenging but fun, satisfying my desire to play familiar classical pieces. I have recommended her to several friends for cello and violin."
