The nuts and bolts of how and why music does what it does. We start from the very beginning, making no assumptions about what is already known, so that a solid foundation can be established. Once done, you can build anything, musically. It helps to know how to read music, play an instrument, and be able to transfer the lesson topics into the "real world" of application, using songs and exercises to illustrate the points.

My 14 year-old daughter has been taking voice lessons with Fawn for a little over a year. She adores Fawn, and loves her private lessons each week. My daughter has learned so much since studying with Fawn. Fawn teaches techniques that help to build a strong voice, and help her students to understand proper placement and breath support. My daughters pitch and singing have improved so much this past year, and we are so grateful to Fawn for helping her pursue her passion, knowing she isn't damaging her vocal chords any longer. Thank you Fawn!.

Fawn is a gifted teacher who is very considerate and cares about you as an artist and as a person. Whenever I have had to cancel last minute, she has been diligent about adding on extra time to my other lessons, to make up for it and so I don't lose out. I've never had a teacher do that for me before, I've always in the past just lost the lesson! I truly appreciate her for being so thoughtful and giving. Plus, I have been improving after every single lesson, which I can not say has ever happened before with other vocal, songwriting or piano teachers. Thanks Fawn! Look forward to more incredible growth under your direction!
Charleen
Because of Fawn's expert and original methods, I have learned how to control my voice and pitch. Fawn is a great original and innovative teacher who teaches her students how to sing correctly, quickly, efficiently and best of all, how to sing for the rest of their life! She teaches the correct way to pull out your tones and pitches and really sing those high notes without hurting or damaging your instrument, and has helped me get deeper tones in my chest voice. My voice is richer, warmer and fuller than I could have ever imagined, even in my head voice. She has given me exercises no one else has, because she tailor makes them to each individual's needs. Some of her techniques literally work like magic! I look forward to many more lessons with Fawn because I know she will help me become the very best me that I can be!
Thank you Fawn :)

I tend to ask a lot of questions but he's made sure to answer each of them with enthusiastic and insightful responses. "After 3 lessons with Kimberly and listening intently to everything she teaches and spending time on my own with what I have learned so far, the band I am in has noticed a marked improvement in my vocal control and better use of head voice techniques. A great compliment from the pros in the band who have been playing for decades and just took me in last summer. Thanks to her love of music and exceptional teaching skills, I owe this all to Kimberly. I have a long wa to go but I feel more confident after every lesson. Thanks Kim from me and our band members!!"

"After letting my pipes lie unused for nearly fifty years I sought an opportunity to take them up again. I must remark that I was not a highly accomplished piper when I quit earlier. In so doing I consulted the long time owner of a local music store specializing in folk music and instruments and was given William’s name and the recommendation that he was clearly the best local performer/teacher know to him. That was approximately four years ago. I found William to be highly attuned to his student’s needs, strengths, and weaknesses. He is able to direct his teaching to those attributes and make the most effective use of lesson time. I find training with William to be a pleasurable experience and a valuable learning opportunity. In the time I have been taking lessons I have progressed to the point of performing regularly with the Tucson Highlanders and have felt competent enough to register with the Western United States Pipe Band Association as a Grade 4 solo performer. It has also been a great pleasure to watch the progress of some of his other students from being a beginner to performing with the band. Because I had previous experience in instrumental music, I would also comment that my lessons have extended beyond simply fingering the instrument into music theory, history, composition, and elements of arrangement. Every lesson has been a positive and satisfying experience."

"I was fortunate enough to take lessons from Ahmad for a number of months last summer. Unfortunately I wasn't able to continue due to personal reasons, but my experience with him was wonderful and very fruitful.

I've been playing for a very long time, and sometimes in my position its hard to recognize your weaknesses and figure out where to make progress. Ahmad was able to talk to me openly and honestly about where my deficiencies were without making me feel bad in any way. He was encouraging and had a plan! I was able to make immediate progress on some very fundamental aspects of guitar that had been holding me back for a long time.

I don't think I've ever seen a more organized and efficient instructor, and it really helps in making incremental progress over the short term, and taking major strides over the long term. I'd highly recommend Ahmad to anyone looking for guitar lessons with disciplined and well-thought-out lesson plans. His focus on technique and fundamentals can help anyone through any style."

"My 12-yr old daughter had a great experience with Lynzi. Lynzi spoke to my daughter with respect and provided age-appropriate instruction and practice. This was my daughter's first experience with private lessons, so we were both a little unsure of what to expect, but Lynzi exceeded our expectations. As a parent, I especially liked how she would recap for me what happened during the lesson and what my daughter should be working on before next time. Her in-home environment was also pleasant, safe and comfortable. After the first lesson, I felt very comfortable leaving my daughter there for her lessons. The entire experience has been a pleasant one!"

Gio truly focuses on the student's needs. I've met too many self-absorbed musicians in the past, but Gio really pays attention to details in the student's playing. He is excellent at teaching technique and was the first guitar teacher to help me fix physical problems regarding posture and arm tension. His kind, easy-going manner makes a student comfortable. He has a wealth of musical knowledge to share."
