I do not teach guitar for readers or cover artists. If you want to learn how to find your own style and build on what is unique and valuable in what you play, I can help you.
I typically can't offer much to an already advanced player as they've already acquired and embedded habits I will train less experienced players to either avoid or incorporate from a creative rather than copy-cat methodology.
Students will be taught "Expressive Practicing", a technique emphasizing skills earned through inspired playing. This is a highly individualized method based on the students instinctive capabilities such as having an natural "ear". Fundamentals are taught as applied through a run-before-you-walk set of exercises and structured improvisation techniques.
I can't wait to work with you! I am passionate about the subjects I teach, and find nothing can compare to seeing a student "get it", so they may too enjoy the passion that comes from learning and doing something they love. Everything I teach I've learned most completely by doing as a Profession

Get ready for a great experience! I've been playing guitar for over 11 years. I have played lead guitar in contemporary worship teams and lead worship for a short time. I offer a structured, easy to learn course for beginners to intermediate players. I have a love of playing and it is my hope to encourage and motivate others to have that same love for guitar. I can teach a wide range of styles from rock, blues and country. You will also learn chords, scales, picking techniques, and more! You will have a firm foundation and I will get you ready to play in no time flat. I can also guide you in amplifiers and pedals should you like the electric approach.
Hey guys! I'm very excited to get started showing you some great things on guitar. You can expect to get a well rounded guitar lesson. From rhythm and lead playing to basic chords, scales and box patterns. I'll teach you to play confidently with all of the patience and work you will need. I'll hel

Hi there I'm Julie-Anne. I'm a Singer/Songwriter & Singing and Performance Coach. I've been singing since i was a child and teaching for 20+ years. I LOVE to sing with a passion and it's a real pleasure to pass this passion and the joy of singing on to others. Growing up in London, I was p
I have done some singing on and off over the years but for several reasons I had completely lost my confidence in my voice and was close to giving up on singing. However, attending Julie-Anne’s ‘Sing to Perform’ course helped me see that I still had the ability to sing and more importantly how much I love it. She creates a safe place where it does not matter if things go wrong with a performance and gives you the confidence to try out different genres. I am now enjoying trying out different songs at home that previously I did not think I could sing.
I am looking forward to attending her next singing workshop or performance course and would encourage anyone who loves to sing to get involved.

Bachelor of Music: Music Education and Flute Performance from University of Massachusetts - Amherst
Teaching since 2012
I am a passionate musician and educator. I have worked for many years as a private flute instructor on both the modern and baroque flute, gaining experience teaching many age and skill levels. Lessons are tailored to the individual needs and goals of the student, with an emphasis on developing tone, technique, and breathing skills. Students will also be encouraged to think about the music that they play. As a musician, I developed an interest in the field of Historical Performance over the course of my undergraduate degree. In this field, one not only studies the music of past periods, but studies its relevance to the social, political, and cultural circumstances of its time. I believe this puts me in a unique position as a music educator, as I understand the importance of teaching students to connect musical works to their historical contexts. This is a skill that will provide them with a richer understanding of all types of music, including both classical and popular, and give them ...
