Learn your way with an instructor who puts student needs first. I have a Doctor of Music Arts degree in Saxophone Performance and 7 years of teaching experience working with beginners in 5th/6th grade through college music majors. As a performer, I play classical recitals, big band swing dance gigs, festivals, and more. As a teacher, I focus on what the student wants to learn - anything from basic foundation skills; scales and technique; theory; improvisation; and relevant repertoire. I place an emphasis on relaxation and removal of tension from the body which will dramatically improve the student's playing abilities.

Flute students of mine can expect a structured curriculum based on the Pares Scales book and the Trevor Wye Books with the goal of providing a solid foundation of technique for the student. In addition, I will provide and focus on many folk song and orchestral excerpts tailored to the student's skill level. It is worth noting that I am very flexible and will accommodate each individual's musical tastes so that they get the most out of their experience and achieve their personal goals!

I played drum set with Blue Man Group, I regularly perform at the top jazz clubs in Chicago, and I've toured the country with indie bands. I'm also a high school percussion ensemble director and college drum set teacher, so I have a broad range of experiences to pull from as I craft a customized plan to help you meet your drumming goals.
I started playing the drums in my hometown of Tucson, AZ at 9 years old, following in my mom’s footsteps, who played drums at my church. It wasn’t long before I started playing in punk bands, jazz groups, and youth orchestras. I moved to the Midwest to study music at Northern Illinois University, and eventually went on to earn a master's degree at DePaul University. The Chicago music scene has provided me countless opportunities to play with inspiring musicians over the years, and I'm always
