Good first lesson. Truly felt my instructor was trying to understand my goals and guage my current skills and ability to learn at what pace.
Ronald Ray S.
My name is Ronald S. At the age of 9, I started playing the guitar for my Father's Gospel Group who is a great Gospel D.J. (Big Clyde). Through the years I have taken several guitar courses from several instructors. In the last seven months I have taken instructions from Mr. Christian, I have excelled further and have learned more than all my other adventures.

Micheal's business based environment in an open studio type classroom is a must. In Micheal's unique style of teaching you not only learn to play the guitar, but he also instructs you in song with a spirit of being well satisfied.

As shoppers pass through the store they enjoy the sounds of students playing their guitars following the guidance of Mr. Christian. This also gives his students a chance to perform in front of other people giving them a finer definitions for the art of music. If you are looking for a music instructor, one who focuses in on your difficult areas and searches for improvement to make you the best musician possible in all areas, or if you are just looking to learn and have lots of fun, then Mr. Christian is your contact. Please visit him at one of his jam sessions..

I love music, and I love teaching children to play the piano! I teach classical and sacred music. I have played for many special events (weddings/funerals/church worship team). Growing up in a one-income family, I understand the difficulty of finding affordable music lessons. My low price enables families with multiple children to have piano lessons they can afford. I have flexibility to service home-school families during the day. In my piano room, there is a large table where waiting students can quietly play games or do homework. I am approximately two miles from North Lake mall with quick access to I-485 and I-77.

I teach students of all levels. Whatever experience you have, we will work with. I believe that it is important to learn how to play by ear as well as read written music. Understanding both approaches, you will be able to play almost any kind of music in a solo as well as a group setting. Depending on your experience, I can find suitable projects that will help you to develop your skills.

About Zachary

I am a trained jazz pianist but I love many different styles of music. I grew up in the Portland, OR area, did my undergrad studies in Utah, and moved to Arizona to do my masters degree at ASU. I am now pursuing a PhD in musicology at ASU. I have played in many different types of bands as well as p

I have had a great time learning to play the piano. Fun to work with, will help with what kind of style you are looking to play while still teaching the basics which helps keep interest and motivation.

Zach is patient, knowledgeable, and easy going. He taylors the teaching fairly well to what you want to learn.
Matthew J.
Zach is teaching our seven-year-old son, Ben, the piano. He's been working with Ben for seven months, now. Zach is kind and incredibly patient. He is encouraging by default. Ben looks forward to his lessons. Zach seems to match Ben's pace, pushing him forward when it's appropriate and reviewing material when it's clear that Ben is not ready. Zach began with familiar tunes, without sheet music, and Ben was proud of his early accomplishments at each step. Now that they're into reading music (using a Disney fake book), Ben feels comfortable and engaged. Zach is a graduate student, and he's on a student schedule (at least for now), which means scheduling lessons around the academic year--an approach that works well for us. It also means that we had the chance to see one of Zach's recitals at ASU, and that was inspirational for our own young pianist (and his dad). Ben and I recommend him highly.

You choose from either a 30 minute or 60 minute lesson. 30 minutes gets you warm-ups to improve range and breath,1 song worked through, sheet music, and a practice CD for you to use between lessons. 60 min lessons is similar, but with 2-3 songs worked through each lesson.

"I am in my mid-40's and have had experience taking private lessons for various instruments throughout my life. Autumn is the best private music instructor I have had the pleasure of working with, going back to my childhood. She is very knowledgeable and has the experience and education necessary to help make her students successful.

Her methods are challenging yet encouraging. Violin has been the most challenging instrument I have attempted, yet Autumn is able to get concepts and techniques across to help me to progress.

I highly recommend Autumn D. for prospective students that are serious about learning to play the instrument. Her lessons include necessary elements from theory and sight-reading to technique.

"SO WONDERFUL! My 7 year old was upset I signed him up for piano and after his first lesson he was bummed he couldn’t have piano lessons everyday! She is so kind, patient and teaches in fun ways kids respond to. She had finger families, note families and even small stuffed animals that help them learn. I am so excited to have found her!"

"My dream instructor

When I first heard about Take Lessons and the ability to take guitar lessons over Skype, I was skeptical. Turns out it has been an amazing effective and convenient way for me to learn guitar. At one point I was a very active musician, mostly playing bass guitar, but I had not played a lot in the last 10 years. Eric has been able to expand my knowledge, my dexterity, and just my overall enjoyment of guitar in the few months I have been taking lessons with him. I was always a solid player, but Eric has been able to add a new layer of ability and really increase my skills. I recommend him to anyone who asks me about taking guitar lessons!!"

"I've been taking lessons with Marta for a few months now, as an adult, and am really enjoying it. Marta is clearly an incredibly talented and engaging musician who is able to translate her experience for folks, like me, who might be new to an instrument or music in general. She is skilled in music theory and technique and really focuses on ensuring her students have the foundational skills necessary to build on as they progress. I'd highly recommend her - she makes the hard work of learning a new instrument (or expanding your existing practice) incredibly fun and rewarding."

James has progressed tremendously in the past several months and he is playing beautiful melodies. He is currently working on rhythm and strumming chords.
