It is super important to me that piano lessons be a positive, encouraging, and fun experience. I also want to help my students learn and play the music THEY love. After all, isn’t that why we learn to play?

For beginning students, you can expect to be playing and learning to read music within your first month of taking lessons. I am happy to say that my intermediate and advanced students have met goals of preparing for auditions with success, performance events, and simply studying new technique and repertoire for their own pleasure. It went greater than I expected. Very very impressed - explanations very clear, easy to understand - some tricks to improve a few things - couldn’t wait until I could practice those tips. Practiced another 25-30 minutes after my lesson. I’m already looking forward to my next lesson in a week - she made me feel at ease very quickly.

She is a great instructor! Very patient, especially when there are weeks where I don't get to practice very much because of work. She is understanding and always looks for the progress.

Robert has been teaching my 11-year old son electric guitar for the last few months and has done a brilliant job. My son loves his lessons and is inspired to practice and learn more. Robert works with my son's song choices and is amazingly patient and supportive. He is also an outstanding mentor for a young musician!

I’m a multi-instrumentalist and teacher specializing in electric and acoustic guitar, and artist development. I spent the early ‘80’s as major- label recording artist, and founded the College Radio- dominating band 4 out of 5 Doctors. My major-venue touring/performing credits include tours with The Clash, The Cars, Hall & Oates, Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, Pat Travers, UFO, even Screamin' Jay Hawkins, to name a few.

I spent the last three years teaching guitar, bass, and band, at my local music academy. During that time, I was fortunate enough to bring in major-name, platinum-selling artists/producers to mentor my younger students, whom they recognized as exceptional.

Application of my musical skills were honed by major record producers, including Jeff Glixman (Kansas, Black Sabbath, KISS) Alan Winstanley (Bush, Elvis Costello, Morrissey), Bil VornDick (Allison Krauss, Bob Dylan, Ricky Skaggs).

"Lena is such a wonderful teacher! She is patient and is really vested in making sure you get the most out of each lesson. I'm an adult beginner and in just the 4 lessons I've had, I've come a long way and have learned so much. I really want to learn Billy Joel songs and Lena has been great in guiding me and supporting what I love. She has helped build my confidence in front of the piano and I look forward to the upcoming recital! I always look forward to classes and can't wait to see my improvement at the end of 10 lessons."

"Gives you confidence in your own abilities

Jessie taught my daughter from June 2011-Dec 2012. She has been an excellent teacher for my 4 year old. It is really a challenge to keep kids focused at this age and Jessie was always up for the challenge. She simplified things down to really basic tasks that the kids can do and more importantly enjoy the learning experience.

During the period our little girl developed the confidence to play in front of a large audience. She could compose her own variations and play it with authority.

Jessie was always on time and professional with her approach. She always brought prints for parents to follow through on the lessons. It made practices at home really simple for us. We could see progress in our daughter's abilities every week.

We felt sorry that we could not continue on with her because of us relocating to a different city and her move as well. I would greatly recommend her for your violin lessons."

"Having not had any formal lessons in the past, I found myself stuck in a box for the past 13 years. What made me choose Eric as my instructor was his assurance that 'no matter what your goal is, I will get you there!'. This resonated with me as I needed a mentor who could turn me into a virtuoso in the course of a couple of years. In only 1 month, Eric has taught me all shapes and positions of the pentatonic scales, opening up the fretboard and allowing me to cover the entire neck when playing. He also explained the theory behind building chords and adding various melodic nuances to the rhythm section. Now we are dabbling with the dark arts of the harmonic minor scale. Eric is highly knowledgeable about music of all genres and generations and he is happy to share his own personal experiences and musical journey with me on days when I need motivation. He focuses on teaching the music that you want to learn and on songs that incorporate the theory is covered, which makes for a perfect marriage between theory and practice, and makes the lessons more fun and fulfilling. It is rare for a musician and a person of his caliber to share his knowledge so generously and patiently, and it is an honor and a privilege to be guided by him. I am hopeful and excited to see where this musical journey takes me with Eric at the wheel!"
