Whether you're a beginner looking to explore a new instrument, or a young professional preparing for an orchestral or college audition, I'm eager to share my passion of music and teaching experience with you. Throughout my teaching and performing career, I have been highly successful at helping students bring out the very best they can offer. Many of my students got accepted to study at major universities and music conservatories, and/or earned positions at orchestras or teaching institutions.

I'm strict and have very high expectations, but I was also praised for being encouraging and supportive. I strongly believe in the power of music, and the many benefits of learning a musical instrument.

My daughter loves Mr Ferenc, he is so kind, patient and thorough, and works with our limited schedule. As a former violin player myself, (albeit 22 years ago) I really appreciate how exacting his standards are for form and posture and I wish my early instructors had been of his caliber.

Ferenc is an incredibly talented violinist and mentor, who used to be a violin professor before coming to Vegas. Besides being knowledgeable, he is also very patient with kids (being a parent himself). He might travel to the student's location, but I don't know for sure.

I was a pretty clumsy cello player but Lisa took me by the hand and backed me up to where I could correct all my problems. She is extremely supportive. If you are looking to start cello lessons, you won't find anyone better than Lisa.

I have known Lisa for about 4 years now. She is an excellent violinist, performer and teacher. She is classically trained and very knowledgable in music history. She works well with students of all ages and abilities. I highly recommend Lisa!

Lisa is a fantastic instructor. I'm an introverted adult, and I was nervous about taking lessons online, but she made me feel comfortable and natural. I feel like I have learned so much in just three lessons. Lisa peppers music theory throughout the lesson, without taking from the time spent playing. It is like everything is in balance and fits in to a bigger picture. She also makes me laugh from time to time, which is the icing on the cake. I highly recommend her as a teacher.

I've taught people who were just beginning violin (both children and adults) to students who were working on major concertos. What is most important to me as a teacher is that the student connect with the music and their instrument by being creative and personalizing my approach for the student. I also strongly strive to make performers out of violinists and to help them engage both audiences and themselves.

About Ha-eun

I have been surrounded by music my whole life and have played violin for 19 years. I went to high school at the Interlochen Arts Academy, obtained a BM in violin performance at Oberlin Conservatory and an MM at the Boston Conservatory. I have won competitions, played in professional orchestras, per

I was exited to start my first lesson and it was great! Ha-eun welcomed me warmly and I think learning with her will be successfull and wonderful at the same time. Looking forward to my next lesson!

Ha-eun is a great violin teacher. I'm an adult learner that picked up the violin to try something different. I've played saxophone for 15 years, and have gone through many types of teachers. I can say Ha-eun is one of the best. She's experienced and patient. We started lessons in person and moved to online because of COVID19, and still going strong through the Suzuki book. She would be great to teach young or old alike!

Her help with bow hold, relaxation with the right hand and arm, will help me enjoy playing.

In our first lesson, you will learn about the parts of your instrument, how to care for it, and how to hold it. You will even learn some notes and begin reading music! By the end of your first package of lessons, you will be able to play with lovely tone, using the bow as well as plucking, and will have a handful of simple songs under your belt.

Students describe me as patient, fun, and encouraging! As your teacher, you can expect me to work with you from where you are, and with subjects and curriculum that match what you are interested in learning. I teach traditional classical, using either Suzuki or Essential Elements, depending on your learning and self-motivational needs, and I also teach fiddle music, including Celtic, old-time, bluegrass, and alternative styles. *Please check my availability before signing up, as my time slots are quickly filling up!* I look forward to meeting you! My two daughters, 13 and 16, have been taking lessons from Rachel for about a year now. They were beginning and intermediate levels. Both of them have enjoyed working with Rachel. She has kept lessons fun and engaging and we have seen a lot of progress. My daughters love celtic fiddle songs and Rachel has helped them play more on pitch and taught them some neat techniques. Rachel has also been very patient with our scheduling changes and is a great communicator.

Rachel is a terrific and inspiring fiddle teacher. Lessons were focused on achieving my goals (which I did) but lots of fun too. Rachel is great at suggesting a number of approaches to improving your skills and also suggested some great new fiddle tunes! I highly recommend Rachel for fiddle lessons.

"I am very happy to whole-heartedly recommend Dr. Mann-Wen Lo as a violin teacher.

I have been playing violin for over 60 years as an avocation. I have risen to the position of concertmaster in three of the last four community symphonies I've played in and principal viola in another here in Southern California. That being said, I know that inadequate technique from the many years without lessons was keeping me from realizing my potential as a violinist.

I met Mann-Wen three years ago at a concert and have heard her play many times since then. Her impeccable technique and the friendship we had developed inspired me to ask her, in 2018, if she could coach me. We began lessons in person, and when the pandemic made that impossible, we continued quite effectively online.

Her strengths as a teacher, at least for me, are her warm patience, her confidence in solving the problems she sees in my playing, and her uncanny understanding of the physics of body movements relating to bowing, fingering and musicality.

The amazingly rapid weekly improvements in bowing, fingering, intonation, etc., that I have been experiencing have been very rewarding to me. I am actually excited to work on the selections Mann-Wen has chosen for me each week.

If you are at the point in your musical development where you need a coach to help you get to the next level, then I highly recommend Mann-Wen to you. Enjoy your time learning from her.
