Piano studio of a well established piano teacher in the Greenville, Winterville, Ayden, Grifton and Kinston area is currently accepting new students. Students may begin lessons at any time of the year. Limited openings available so contact me today.
Lessons are for children ages 5 through adults. Cheap lesson fees do not necessarily insure that you will be taking piano lessons from an experienced and qualified teacher or have the best lesson experience. I want to produce students who play accurately and wonderfully expressively. I want them to be independent enough to figure out how to play familiar as well as unfamiliar music, both by ear and through reading musical notation. I want them to be intelligent musicians, able to understand and describe music they are hearing.
I began studying piano at the age of 7 and organ at the ag
e of 17. I hold both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Music. In addition, I have been teaching piano for over 25 years and currently active as a Director of Music Ministry/Organist at a local church.
Teacher has training and teaching experience teaching children and adults of all ages so no need for gimmicks or short cuts. Thank you for your interest in my studio, and feel free to contact me if you would like more information. You must have a piano or full size 61 keys keyboard to take piano lessons.
MUSIC LESSONS: Whether I am playing salsa, solo classical piano, in a jazz ensemble, or a concert band, I am ALWAYS having fun doing what I love, and I want you to have the same experience. After moving to Philadelphia ten years ago to study at Temple University, where I received my Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance, I have had many great opportunities to play all types of music with all types of people. While my passions are in jazz music, composing, and arranging, my varied experience helps me pass on the fundamentals necessary to becoming a great musician while also adapting to your goals, needs, and musical preferences.
*** Lesson Details *** I aim for students to leave each lesson eager to practice and explore, and to come back with questions and stories of their progress. To that end, I work hard to tailor lessons to every
individuals interests and goals. Sometimes this means arranging, transcribing a recording, or even composing something new for my students. Additionally, in each lesson, I balance technical skills, ear training, and music theory to assure that each student walks away a complete musician, all structured around your musical goals.
*** Travel Equipment *** The student must provide their own instrument and assigned method books. I will provide a music stand if necessary, and other useful instructional tools (metronome, tuner, etc.)
*** Home Studio *** I offer lessons in my home located within walking distance of Broad Street in South Philadelphia, near the Tasker-Morris subway stop. I am equipped with a well-playing upright piano and plenty of space for musical activities. There is ample street parking in the area during the afternoon and early evening, and our living room is available to parents while students take their lesson. Students who travel to me for lessons gain all the benefits of performing on a piano, rather than an electric keyboard, and have access to many more resources that I am able to offer from my home, such as recordings and method books.
*** Specialties *** I specialize teaching "late starters" (teens and adults new to piano) fundamentals in music in a fun and exciting way that will have you playing the music you love quickly.
For brass instruments, I am able to help brand new beginners build up their sound and facility through simple exercises that will have them astounded by their progress.
MATH: I use my years of classroom teaching and Master's degree in math education as experience to help guide you to the success you are seeking. I am able to tailor sessions to your specific needs with a few key points in mind:
- helping you catch-up, while also preparing you for what is ahead - balancing practice with conceptual knowledge and application - using research-based techniques to maximize your learning
I am a patient teacher, and well-equipped to explain tough topics in multiple ways. I like to use visuals and objects with simple examples to help my students really understand a concept before we try harder material. Total understanding and confidence is my goal for you.
My personal interests in mathematics are problem solving, puzzles, and combinatorics (think "How many different outfits can I make with all the clothes in my closet?"). If you're looking for an addicting puzzle to try, I suggest KenKen to all my students.
Hello there! I'm Kaira, thank you for your interest and welcome. I have been teaching private lessons in singing and acting lessons since 2003. I am able to teach singing and acting lessons online, and ESL or reading lessons at a library located in the Owings Mills or Randallstown, MD area.
My education career has afforded me the opportunity to be a Master of Arts Graduate from Syracuse University with a concentration in Television, Radio, and Film. I also attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas where I majored in the concentrations of Vocal and Stage Performance, as well as, Technical Production; here, I received my Bachelors of Arts degree. Also, I received a TESOL certification through an international ESL company, and have acquired accredited Early Childhood education with an emphasis in Reading and ESL from Grand Canyon Univ
I am an active Performing Artist. I have developed many relationships within the industry, and acquired much knowledge on how to become a working artist. I love what I do so much that it has afforded me to teach my expertise in the areas of voice, stage performance and audition preparation. As an educator, I believe that there is no limit to what you can do, my education, passion and goal is to help you become a confident reader at any stage of your life. I look forward to meeting you.
My child was not at 8th grade reading level, he has been taking lessons for about two weeks now. No one could tell me his reading level, Kaira did a computer test, created a plan and it's working great. For the first time my son is excited to learn. He's doing better in school in short matter of time.

Awesome lesson! I felt more confident after being out of the game of acting for awhile. Also, she's very nice.

It was such a pleasure meeting Kaira! She was so warm and welcoming. My daughter loved her singing lesson. She has grown so much as a singer and is more confident than ever. You will not regret hiring Kaira, she is absolutely the best vocal coach I could have ever found for my child. Very professional and knowledgeable!
I'm originally from Columbus and started out on piano when I was 8. I also sing and play trumpet and euphonium, and have dabbled in guitar and bass as well. I particularly enjoy writing and arranging, and I studied composition at University of Miami. I have a passion for teaching and the bulk of my experience actually comes in SAT, ACT, and math tutoring. I believe a musical education enhances those subject areas (and vice versa) and I take the same approach of finding an individualized method to help my student meet their goals. Outside of music and teaching, I enjoy running, tennis and cooking.
Hi! My name is Baltazar! I am a passionate teacher and musician who has been playing since about age 10 and teaching since about age 15. I love all styles of music and aim to re-create that love in all of my students. I firmly believe that in order to learn and excel in a subject a student must enjoy the process of learning itself. I pride myself in my ability to do that with all of my students.
Hi there! My name is Kelly. I have been playing violin since I was 4. I have always enjoyed playing the violin especially when I was able to express it though playing in a local church. I learned to hear the music and feel the emotion that a violin player can receive. I’m excited to teach you the basics to violin from the beginning.
I'm a graduate student at ECU studying masters in violin performance. In between undergrad and grad school, I maintained a private studio of about 23 students for five years, and am currently certified by the Suzuki association to teach their method through book 4. Choosing to play violin was the best decision I ever made. I started when I was 11 and haven’t looked back ever since. Having violin as the constant through all the wonderful, trying, and even confusing parts of my life has made me a better person. Now I don’t expect all my students to have the same experience as I did, but nothing makes me happier than to bring the joy I’ve developed with violin to other people’s lives. I teach the songs from the Suzuki method, and supplement them with appropriate sight reading books. Playing violin is more about finding which muscles NOT t
o use rather than which ones TO use so your good instincts about what to do when playing can shine through.
I am a college student currently studying music and business in the great city of Huntington Beach, California. Numerous hours have been spent studying music theory, technique, songs, and genres of music such as jazz, pop, metal, and R&B.
Growing up as a kid, music was the most important thing to me. So the next thing I did was pick up a guitar at the age of 12 and look up guitar lesson after guitar lesson; I was pretty much obsessed. The knowledge I have gained throughout the next 8 years have gave me so many opportunities to teach friends, family, and hundreds of high school students. As of today, my knowledge of the guitar is still expanding and can help you on your journey to become the guitarist you've always wanted to be.
When I teach, I don't want to bore you with tons of technical terms or loads of music theory. I want you to
have a blast and feel confident playing whatever it is you want to play. Even practicing the little things should be fun! I would love to hear your input on what you want to achieve from playing so that we can both zoom in on your own goals and reach them, and even aim higher than that if you'd like! Whether you're a beginner or an intermediate player, it'd be an honor to jam with you.
My genre specialties include soul, R&B, pop, metal, and indie. If you wish to learn the technicalities of the guitar, I'd be more than happy to do so. If you're looking to jam out, i'd also be happy to do so.
"My first lesson worked out great! Ryan is a very relaxed knowledgeable musician who takes the time to teach and listen."
"He is a great teacher."
"I could not be happier with my decision to take voice lessons with Ben! These past couple of months have been more beneficial to me than any of my previou
s experience with other teachers. I have already seen improvement in my voice and there is still so much I can learn. Ben works to improve the voice as a whole, rather than limiting it to one specific area. I would highly recommend him to those who are ready to put in the work necessary to get great results."
"From jazz improv to skilled classical, Fawn covers it all. She makes sure you have proper fingering, technique, timing and theory and does it in such a fu
n way you hardly notice that it's work at all! If you want to experiment with chords or accompany your singing or learn to accompany another vocalist, she covers it! If you want to compose or write songs, she's got you! If you want to learn to record your own pieces, she knows that too! I highly recommend Fawn to any one who is serious about their craft and their career!"
"She is an amazing instructor. I have learned so much from her. Even though it hasn't even been a year I learned so much already. No matter what u do u lea
rn a lot from Roberta. Please come and sing or play piano. It's amazing."
"After only three lessons, I can tell I’m going to learn a lot from Terri. She’s great!"
"Sally has taught piano for over 15 years with her husband Tim. Tim teaches voice and has professional singing experience with San Diego Opera. There teach
ing style has provided a structured environment with very patient, encouraging tone so the most timid of students will want to learn. Students with learning challenges have done well with their program. Periodic recitals and music competitions are scheduled during the year to showcase each students learning accomplishments. Both Tim and Sally are loving people and would welcome anyone who desires to learn piano, guitar, violin, and voice from their experienced teachers."
"Danny is the best music teacher I ever had. He was kind, passionate, and patient. And I'm not the quickest learner when it comes to music. But he customiz
ed the lesson to my needs. He was so good I referred him to my brother for drums. Now, the family is getting closer to a band.
If you are looking for lessons, Danny has years if experience and is clear in how he explains theory and techniques. Highly recommended!"
"Kristen was an amazing teacher! My daughter loved her. When we moved she was sad Kristen would no longer be her instructor."
Falling in love with the sounds of flamenco guitar is easy, but this instrument is fun to learn and play too! In this article, we'll help you learn the basic terms and techniques for flamenco guitar.
Some folks get interested in flamenco through its virtuosic guitar playing, rhythmic dancing and colorful dresses, or the expressive nature of Gypsy singing. For guitarists of other styles, playing flamenco is among the most respected styles in the world thanks to its sound, tonality, and tec …
