My name is Maggie and I'm a piano teacher. I have been teaching private piano lessons for 10 years. I focus on students' fundamental skills such as finger technic, sight reading, and ear training. I also incorporate music theory during the piano lesson so students also understand why the music sounds beautiful. I teach at my home studio, and I can also drive to your place if you have a piano or keyboard. I teach Classical, Jazz, Blues, and Pop. Don't hesitate to contact me if you are looking for a piano teacher, you're welcome to join my studio!

About Maggie

Maggie is a great teacher. My seven-year-old daughter loves her and she learns a lot from her. My daughter had a different piano teacher before. I like Maggie's upbeat way of teaching better than her old teacher. I personally believe the right attitude and energy helps motivate kids to learn. I like that she has different lesson plans and reward system. Just a little something to show my daughter that she's doing a good job.

Beginning my studies on clarinet, I understand the challenges which the instrument presents. I continue to perform the clarinet in big band and in the pit orchestra for musicals. Beginner students will learn basic foundation skills (such as embouchure, air, posture, hand position, tonguing techniques, and reed maintenance) in a fun environment where the student's needs come first. Intermediate students can expect to learn more demanding techniques (such as double tonguing, circular breathing, whole tone and octatonic scales) and selections from the clarinet repertoire in an encouraging but challenging environment.

Nick is very knowledgeable and proficient on saxophone, and a dedicated and patient teacher. No matter your level, there’s always more to learn, and I highly recommend Nick for your private instruction.

Nick Stow! I learned a great deal from his private lessons. He understands how to gradually work into good and exceptional habits for practicing as well as performing. I only wish to have had more of an opportunity to perform with and learn from these lessons. As I said, it takes time and patience to come to the skill level Nick is at, but he'll work with you to grow a level you can start to excel at.
Sid
I have been playing the saxophone for over 50 years without a long term period between active playing. Nick has been very effective in my playing ability and I have learned a great deal from him.

"Fawn is a gifted teacher who is very considerate and cares about you as an artist and as a person. Whenever I have had to cancel last minute, she has been diligent about adding on extra time to my other lessons, to make up for it and so I don't lose out. I've never had a teacher do that for me before, I've always in the past just lost the lesson! I truly appreciate her for being so thoughtful and giving. Plus, I have been improving after every single lesson, which I can not say has ever happened before with other vocal, songwriting or piano teachers. Thanks Fawn! Look forward to more incredible growth under your direction!"
