BA in Piano Performance from Brigham Young University
Looking for affordable, quality piano lessons for your kiddo? I strive to help students achieve goals small and large. I believe establishing proper technique and efficient practicing habits early opens doors. I try to make kids feel valued. And want them to leave their lesson with a sense of accomplishment. Music is such a great outlet for kids to express themselves, relieve stress, and gain confidence!
My goals are:
-Provide a comfortable, encouraging atmosphere that inspires growth in and outside of music.
-Inspire a life-long love of music.
-Provide optional performance and competition opportunities in the community.
-Develop a work ethic that crosses over to other areas in life.
-Most importantly, we have fun at this studio!

I studied tap for twenty years with acclaimed teachers including Lane Alexander, Becky Cooper, Phil Brooks, and Mark Yonally. I was the artistic director of Tonik Tap ensemble at Northwestern University, for which I choreographed several pieces. I specialize in choreography, advanced technique, tap history, and beginning improvisation.

I have 12 years of experience playing the piano. My focus is primarily classical and sacred music. I have been teaching piano since 2016 and have loved every minute of it. I have also played for many special events (weddings/funerals/church worship team). My music instructor studied under interns of Juilliard School and Curtis Institute. From energetic kindergarteners with a list of favorite songs to learn to school-age students with an interest in the arts, my music students have found the piano to be a great creative outlet.
In my free time, I enjoy playing in my family's music band and learning new creative skills, such as sewing, crocheting, trying new recipes in the kitchen (including gourmet cookies), and am currently studying horticulture.
