Our daughter was amazed and in "Ah" with all she learned in just her first lesson with Jack. It was fantastic to see her excitement again for private lessons. So excited she wanted to continue playing and practicing even after the session. Thank you, Jack! She wanted me to let you know she is looking forward to many more days like this!😁👍

Jack is a friendly, encouraging instructor---a great match for my 11-year-old daughter. He's obviously an expert bassoonist, but does a fantastic job of explaining things clearly and simply for the less-advanced student. My daughter can't wait for her next bassoon lesson with Jack!
Claire
Very knowledgeable and friendly, and a great communicator about bassoon technique. Today was my daughter’s first lesson with Jack - She learned so much and has some good assignments to work on before the next lesson. We totally recommend Jack as an instructor!

I do not teach guitar for readers or cover artists. If you want to learn how to find your own style and build on what is unique and valuable in what you play, I can help you.

I typically can't offer much to an already advanced player as they've already acquired and embedded habits I will train less experienced players to either avoid or incorporate from a creative rather than copy-cat methodology.

Students will be taught "Expressive Practicing", a technique emphasizing skills earned through inspired playing. This is a highly individualized method based on the students instinctive capabilities such as having an natural "ear". Fundamentals are taught as applied through a run-before-you-walk set of exercises and structured improvisation techniques.

About Richard

I can't wait to work with you! I am passionate about the subjects I teach, and find nothing can compare to seeing a student "get it", so they may too enjoy the passion that comes from learning and doing something they love. Everything I teach I've learned most completely by doing as a Profession

Richard is so patient and knowledgeable. I am very happy with our lessons. Because of my background with classical guitar he wondered if the fact that he doesn't read music and I am renewing my mind back into it would not be a good teaching set-up. Not at all. I now have an electric guitar and the five years spent playing classical, now fifteen years ago, did not give me a good foundation for understanding music theory unfortunately. I have a genre I had already picked out fingerstyle electric and now with some thinking my way through the basics I did have I still need to learn just basic strumming etc. I understand what he is referring to in music so we still speak in the same key. Also and lastly my daughter has a severe seizure/dementia disorder that is very unpredictable and our caregiver's mom just passed away so there will be times when I just can't do a week/day. He has been very understanding. I am smiling from my soul because music is my healing path for difficult stuff I couldn't pay any doctor/therapist to even call me back for. Thank you so much for your assistance. Sincerely Teresa

I have been singing since I was 10 years old and since I started professionally at 14, I've performed in over 15 different countries around the world and done arena tours and festivals. Vocal training is extremely important for a singer, even the most experienced artists have vocal coaches their entire lives. I've been teaching young people to sing since 2010 and I'm very keen to continue to see them all grow as artists! My methods vary from person to person as I like to find out their individual goals and go from there, but I usually take the first lesson to get to know them and find out their strengths and weaknesses, and work on a lesson plan that helps them as well as having fun.

About Kimberley

Hi there! My name is Kimberley, and I'm a British singer/songwriter, and I love teaching young people about this amazing industry! I offer songwriting, singing and piano lessons, as well as writing and composition. My first rule is that there isn't any! Each student is unique and different, and

I love teaching and I have been doing it for about 6 years now. I love working with beginners, and I find myself especially good with children that are just getting to know music. Although I am open to work with any age-group.
As your teacher, we will work together to make you the most integral musician you can be. Every hand is different, so we will make sure we adjust to what works best for you and your skills.
I will share tips on how to practice and will follow up with your schedule and the amount of time you are putting towards your cello-life.
We will not only learn about cello in lessons, but also music theory (as I believe it is necessary for one to be able to not only make music, but also "talk" music.).
Since I am still a student, I am always looking for ways to make practicing more productive but also fulfilling so that is what we will do together as well.
I look forward to taking you from whatever level you may be at right now, to the most ideal performance/practice ...

About Adalus

I have loved teaching ever since I started doing so about 6 years ago. I have the most experience with children (begginners-intermediate), although I am comfortable with other age groups as well. My main goal as a cello teacher is not only for you to learn how to play the cello but to give you a b

"Kyle is a fantastic guitar teacher! He takes the time to show you how to play guitar with good fundamentals, and teaches you a little bit of music theory along the way without making it complicated. I tried learning on my own using online TABs and Youtube videos and a game called Rocksmith. This was a good start, but eventually I hit a wall and wasn’t really progressing. Kyle has really helped me develop my skills. We went over all the basics like how to hold a pick, how to hold the guitar, how to play single notes vs. chords, palm muting and alternate picking. I was missing all of this technique before and I was actually making playing the guitar more difficult than it needed to be! Kyle explained it all in a very easy to understand way and gives you as much detail as you need. I like lots of detail, so we went over everything! He knows a lot of little tips and tricks from playing as long as he has and this is the kind of priceless information you can't get elsewhere. He's very easy to talk to and has a breadth of knowledge on all kinds of music. We normally geek out about anything from Jimi Hendrix to 90’s music to more modern music and everything in between. I can’t say enough about how knowledgeable he is – highly recommended!"

"I met Jesse as a fellow musician when starting a band. Though I could PLAY bass, I didn't have the knowledge to apply theory and other tools to improve my playing and speed up my learning. Jesse started teaching me how the fretboard works (other than just numbers), keys, and the corresponding modal scales, and even technique for playing better. At first I was confused and impressed by this new world, but his ability to break down each element, and apply it to your personal learning style is really beneficial to any player. He's helped transition from playing bass like a rhythm guitar to playing bass like the instrument it should be, and opened me up to many opportunities to play with his other students as well. Definitely the teacher to check out if you want to improve your playing, and know you have the drive. He will call you on it, if you haven't been practicing!"

The Best Violin Exercises for Rhythm, Tone, and More

Learning to play a musical instrument - and finally being able to play all of your favorite songs for violin - is an amazing feeling! However, it can be easy to get caught up in the enthusiasm of learning to play violin songs quickly, and to overlook the important basic step of developing your sound from the very beginning.  Nothing will help build these skills more quickly than concentrated exercises; just a few short bursts each day to concentrate on each area will hone the skills you need to …
