Broadway Singing is an especially great style for younger/newer singers. As most Broadway pieces have a decent range, which challenges the students and helps in finding the range that is appropriate for them.It also has a variety of emotions for singing, allowing character work to excel performance ability. It is great music to work through technique with, and help my students get out of their comfort zones. I have performed leading parts in musicals, as well as a variety of plays. I have also directed 5 musicals and worked with theater groups. I am a technique intensive teacher no matter the style. I want my students to be able to sing in a healthy manner, to use their voice to their fullest potential, and to have the ability to make the sounds appropriate for the music they are singing. Singing should always be fun!
I love teaching! How incredible it is to aid people in the joy of music, build their confidence, and help them sing with ease and comfort! I am a classical vocal performance graduate from Belmont University. I have sung all over the world, as a soloist with a missions organization The New America Singers. We sang in Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, the Philippines, South Korea, Russia and Germany, with our largest audience being over 6,000 people. I have performed several solo concerts in Germany, directed Children's Musicals, and have been teaching private voice at my home studio, the YMCA in Brentwood, as well as Rock Springs Middle school. Teaching voice is something that I am passionate about. I had some vocal health issues when I was younger, but thankfully I had an incredible teacher

How to audition
As a professional singer and actor, I perform all over the United States. I act and sing on many stages, including: opera houses, theme parks, theaters, convention centers, and film. From opera to pop music, I have pretty much performed it all. My collegiate training is from Samford University, where I received a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre. For two years after college, I lived in NYC and trained with Broadway's best. I just recently relocated to the Nashville area, and cannot wait to train my students with the most up-to-date and current audition techniques, as well as new singing and acting material. As an active performer in the Nashville area, I have strong knowledge of what is required in auditions today. I have an ardent passion to share with my students what my teachers ...

Vocalist/ Songwriter/Composer Angelia W. was born on July 18,1975 in Chicago, IL. By the early age of three, Angelia had already grown a love for music and loved to sing. However, it wouldn't be until a few years later that she would develop a sincere desire to become a serious musician. By the age of 9, Angelia was singing lead vocals with her local church choir, and by 14, she was touring already with the duet act “Tamara and Angie”. While touring, Angelia became a well known mezzo- soprano whose broad vocal range also include alto and tenor. From 1992 until 2002, Angelia held the position of Praise and Worship Lead and Section Leader at one of the largest churches in the Greater Milwaukee area; Balm and Gilead For All People International Ministries.
