I like to be laid back and very individual with my approach. I always introduce a curriculum designed to teach basic chords, note reading, and basic theory, but I also understand that each student has a particular set of interests, and I want to inspire them to follow those interests. Whether it's Rock, Blues, Country, Folk, or Classical, I want to give my students the tools and understanding that they need to excel at the music that drives them.

Students will receive personalized lesson plans based on their skill level and areas of interest. We will cover multiple styles and genres and focus on the main attributes of a professional percussionist.
Lessons take place at a secure and open rehearsal space with professional and well maintained equipment provided (students must bring their own sticks). We will be studying from various, standard texts as well as customized exercises developed for each student.
I have taught individual and group lessons for private students as well as school groups including classical and corps ensembles of all ages.
