Malda K.

Naples, FL

Lessons are schedule to best fit to the students schedule ,when is possible.
Very passionate about piano ,but meanwhile very patient
and kind with students.
Lessons are build to fit each student individual progress.

About Malda

At age of 6, I began extensive professional piano training and have been performing around same age too. Since 1993 I hold Bachelors Degree in Music with Major in Piano Performance and Pedagogy.
I also hold Teachers Certification for Music (Grades K- 12).
I've been teaching piano to all ages and levels for over 20 years. I love teaching and I'm very patient and kind.

I believe in the power of music to reach deep into the human personality.
I would like to inspire and educate my students in general music knowledge and introduce them to the
beautiful atmosphere the piano instrument create
s.
I have participated in numerous competitions and recitals with my students, where many of my students have won awards.

I'm a highly experienced Piano Teacher and active performing Concert Pianist.

I'm also available to accompany students for recitals, concerts, etc.

*** Lesson Details ***
It is my passion to teach music, investing in the lives of students and using music to cultivate their growth.

I have been teaching for over 19 years to students of all ages and backgrounds. It is so important that all my students get out of the lessons what they want and be happy. For ex. I choose some piano pieces and I play for the student, and the student can choose the one that likes more, or if a student has a particular piece that really wants to learn then I explain that and find creative ways to allow that student to meet their goal.
This technique would work for the student, pushes them to practice more and enjoy that. With experience in classical and contemporary music, my teaching philosophy is to build strong technique, to develop musicality, to improve sight-reading skills, and to give to my students good knowledge of theory.

I will train for competitions, recitals or just for fun.

I enjoy teaching all levels (beginners - very advanced) and abilities.

I'm very friendly, patient and believe that anyone can learn to play piano and love their lessons.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Living Room: Piano, couch, parents can sit in on lesson

*** Travel Equipment ***
Piano or keyboard

*** Specialties ***
I teach piano (performance and pedagogy), music theory using any method that is suitable for my student, like, Alfred, Nancy and Randall Faber, Bastien, etc.

My instructor ( Malda Keri) is extremely well qualified as an instructor. She is patient, understanding an has a sense of humor. I am a senior with a visual deficiency and she always seems to take that into consideration during my practice sessions. She has been with me for 6 months and I feel major progress.

Lauren makes you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in the door. She is very knowledgeable and was stressing the importance of breathing correctly. She has a beautiful voice and that helped me in learning the requirements I have for my long term goal.

I been teaching piano for more than 25 years now. My goal is that you can learn in an easy and fun way . I don't like to teach a lot of theory I prefer to get hands on practice, and teach easy songs at the beginning so you feel you are really learning. Another thing I want is that people improve the ear so latter on you can as well play songs on your own.

About Nancy

I am from Colombia, and studied music at the Conservatory, National University in Bogota, Colombia.
I started giving piano lessons in 1990 in my Country, and in 1996 I moved to the USA where I've been a teacher for children and adults as well. I also teach on line the basics of piano and how to read music the easy and fun way.
