*** Lesson Details ***
Each lesson is customized to your learning style and different for everyone depending on what you want to learn. Most of my students like to learn from scratch which would include the following:
In the first 3 lessons you will learn basic guitar fundamentals, basic 1-4-5 song progressions (the stuff that 85% of all music we listen to is made up of), left hand / right hand coordination, picking techniques, how to strum, mute, & play notes on the guitar.

We can play as a band too. When you are ready, I love to bring out the drum or backing tracks to your favorite artists songs while you play guitar and I play what your not, giving you the feel of a live band that makes learning at your lesson more fun.

Electric or Acoustic guitar genres include: Rock, Pop, Blues, Country, R&B, Funk, Latin, Jazz, Classical, and more.

I have studied under guitar extraordinaire Shawn Gette who is in the band Forbidden Symphony, who once took over a gig for Steve Vai in the band Steeler who replaced Vai with Yngwie J Malmsteen as their guitar virtuoso.

I have studied under guitar virtuoso Rex Carroll signed to Atlantic Records with his band Fierce Heart & Whitecross & a band called King James with band members from Stryper.

I have studied under guitar afficionado, Steve Krenz a Nashville TN, college professor who has played guitar with a symphony orchestra, to jazz big bands, to performing with Grammy-winning artists like Donna Summer, Michael W. Smith, The Fifth Dimension, Israel Houghton, and Tommy Sims (renowned bass player for Bruce Springsteen and co-writer of Eric Clapton's Grammy-winning song "Change the World"). As a studio musician, He has been featured in promotional campaigns for Coldwell Banker, Prudential, and the World Cyber Games. He has performed with platinum-selling artist, Bryan White, as well as with Darlene Zschech & Hillsong, the Katinas, Jonathan Pierce, and many others including GMA Dove Award winners Natalie Grant, Ron Kenoly and Don Moen.

I have studied under various professors & multiple genres at the American Guitar Academy.

I have a Mesa boogie all tube amp and Line 6 spider modeling amplifier, Cordoba Classical guitar, Ibanez and Epiphone Riviera deluxe electric, Taylor Acoustic, Presonus Recording equipment, sheet music, tab and more.  Let's turn the amp to 11 and rock and roll!"

I can teach guitar fundamentals, that most songs only use 3 chords (1-4-5 song progressions the stuff that 85% of all music we listen to is made up of), left hand / right hand coordination, picking techniques, mute, & play notes on the guitar, soloing, strumming patterns, fingerpicking, using a capo, alternate tunings, acoustic blues, arpeggiated patterns, and much more. 

My teaching philosophy is simple, I want to reach the top of the mountain and grab your hand & give you easy simple 1 at a time steps to get you there. Or if your advanced & just need a brush-up or to polish on your technique or riffs, that's cool. Ultimately I want to encourage you to listen to live bands, get out of the garage phase join a band and make the magic of music for us all to listen to and enjoy.

My son loves his lessons and has connected really well with Tim.  He is making good progress, and is maintaining motivation.

Tim is a passionate instructor and flexible to meet your musical goals. It has been good working with him and I have learned a lot in my Blues Guitar sessions.

I wanted to learn the blues and Tim taught me the building blocks and then progressed to scales and technique. My favorite artists include Stevie Ray Vaughn and Jimmy Hendrix and Tim connects the lessons back to them. Each lesson is fun, and challenging.  Tim is fun and always fully engaged. A great teacher that I would recommend whether your starting out or looking to advance your skills.

Tim is great.  I haven’t play guitar in many years and Tim got me back up and learning easily. The lessons are paced well  and I’m covering both theory and the material I’m interested in.  He’s very knowledgeable encouraging and gives me extra tips and tricks to make the lessons fun. I highly recommend Tim.

I’m a absolute beginner and at 40 years old the thought of learning a instrument was very intimidating. Tim made my first lesson very comfortable and enjoyable. I look forward to more lessons.
