The main goal of an Ableton class is to be able to effectively use all the tools that you are given to achieve your specific goal. Each student will have a different idea of what they want to create with this software, and its really important to be able to remove the technical obstacles and get straight to the creating. I will enable each student to be able to better visualize their projects, and I will train their ears to be able to better listen to sound such that they can understand the specifics behind creative decisions. As a producer you have to take both microscopic and macroscopic views when it comes to a piece of music, understanding how both a small sound can affect the progression of a story though music, and how the story itself unfolds over time. This can all be done through practical training in Ableton Live.

I learned from him all about sends and signal flow in Ableton: groups, post and pre fader sends, i/o.
If you take lessons with Mateo, you can learn how to use the Ableton's Instruments, effects and midi effects. How use it? when use it? and what are the best for specific tone, color or whatever.
