We have had 4 or 5 lessons now with Michael and with each one, my 9 year old son learns so much. I'm amazed at the pace at which he is moving; Michael had him playing a song after his first lesson. We sometimes do lessons at Michael's location and other times on Skype. My son really likes Michael and he wants to work hard and keep learning. I highly recommend guitar with Michael.

TUTORING AND ENRICHMENT

PIANO, ORGAN AND SINGING CLASSES!!!

Reading and Phonics is a weekly or Bi-weekly Program. It can be taught as either a full learn to read program, homeshool course or as a tutoring program for problem or challenging areas.

Math learning i

s in attainable and non-stressful increments designed to foster a complete understanding of mathematical concepts and their relationships and to foster a "I CAN DO IT! ATTITUDE!

Do you want lessons that will cater to your needs or the needs of your child and not a book?

My Reading and Phonics lessons are made to dazzle and awe your child into an understanding of letters, sounds, and the written page with several learning enrichment programs as well as numerous supplemental material. I also love to work with teachers when possible and use placement tests to determine where to start and periodically to know how to continue. (The kids just think they are games).

All of my lessons are designed to foster a love for reading, math or music and focus on your reading and Phonics goals or your dream in the music world as well as build knowledge and expertise for all three!

Whether it be a specific genre, general, academic reading, computation, repertoire, not wanting to stumble over words or just wanting to play or sing the songs you enjoy, I have the curriculum and supplemental material to reach your reading, math or music goals!

Beginner? We can get you started on the right foot! I have experience with tweens, teens, adult beginners, seniors and children of all ages. I have special curriculum and activities that enhance interest, reduce stress and help you to maintain what you learn.

Pre-schoolers have a curriculum all their own that teaches phonics, reading or music through lovable animal characters with games on tablet, computer and other resources that teach, reinforce and excite their hearts to learn and retain what they learn.

Does your child have some knowledge but just has not excelled in math, phonics or reading? We can tailor lessons for just that.

Maybe you have some music knowledge but just can't play or sing that special song? We can tailor lessons for that, too!

Maybe your child knows letters and sounds but just hasn't made the leap to reading? We can tailor the lessons to get your child from point B to Z!
Perhaps math is a dirty word or causes your child to cringe or have great anxiety! I would love to help them to enjoy math instead of feeling annoyed at math.

Can you read music but not play on your own? Can you play by ear and not read music? I have experience bridging the gaps.

Is your dream to become a Soloist, harmonizer or karaoke star? Accompany yourself or others or just play for fun? Then why not you and I embark on that exciting journey together!

Is your dream just for your child to be able to read at grade level or above? I will give it my all for them to do so.

Is your dream to become a church musician or play for a choir? or Are you already a church musician but need help with a particular song, program or musical?

Does your Church just sing Hymns? We can do Hymn Lessons.

Does your Church sing only Gospel? We can do Gospel Lessons?

Does your Church only do Contemporary Christian? We can do Contemporary Christian Lessons.

Want to learn it all?

Worship to Him and service to others is the reason that I do what I do!

Try us! You'll be glad you did!!!!

I am a very laid back instructor, though the classes are very well structured.

Usually, we progress with a chosen curriculum according to the student's or parent's vision and initial overview during the 1st few classes. However, all curriculums are supplemented to enhance student performance and comprehension. Our supplemental material is used to go swifter for material that you grasp well and understand, and slower with more repetition for that that you need more practice, without being monotonous. It is also used to provide appropriate but exciting reinforcement of all material to ensure that material is retained.

We are forever updating material and also incorporate games and enhanced activities to keep lessons interesting and refreshing as well!

I also have experience in teaching autistic, ADD, ADHD and those with varying degrees of brain damage.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Organs
Keyboards with midi/Earphones
Karaoke Machines with microphones and stands/TV capability
Amplifiers
Tablets
Computer with music/reading/phonics games and software/TV capability

Having a degree in Music, I have had extensive training and experience in ear-training. It is a very important part of musical study. I have figured out countless songs and tunes by ear, and it's something that I continue to do and try to improve upon.

Although we always use our ear playing music, I can help you train for Music school, or just to improve your ear for your own benefit.

One of my favorite classes in college was Aural Skills. We were taught how to identify intervals and transcribe melodies and rhythms after hearing them only once.
Ear training is an excellent way to heighten your musical understanding, creativity and overall listening experience. It involves some degree of singing and active participation. You will also have an introduction to piano.

About David

My name is David and I'm a professional musician who just moved to North Austin. I came from Cincinnati, where I went to the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, taught dozens of students at all levels and played regular gigs every weekend. I have been teaching for over fifteen years, and I'm looking to get a few new students.
I teach guitar, piano, bass guitar and even upright bass. If it's a tutor you are looking for I can also teach music theory and appreciation. I have a knack for teaching young people, probably because I was young when I started my musical journey. I've been very successful at inspiring a student's love of music and instilling the patience required to take on the challenge of playing an instrument.
The first thing I like to do is get to know you, the music you enjoy and your goals. In a way, I l

ike to begin by letting the student lead.
In addition to learning from you, I intend to present you with new information, to try and broaden your musical tastes and teach you how to be an active listener.

David has been so amazing with out 9 year old daughter. We have gone to him for over 2 years and she has come so far with her skills! He has so much patience. He's so kind and wonderful with kids. We were recommended by a friend and now we recommend him! He's high in demand for sure! We are sad we can't use him anymore due to scheduling issues. His prices are better than others too!

Quickly contextualized my needs as a student, and got me familiar with components and techniques of composition. The goal was to be able to help me more easily communicate ideas and designs to audio engineers at a company I work at. There has been a very observable benefit to this in the expedience of discussions, and fidelity of concept being engineered.

Students can expect a solid mixture of chord progression, interval, and chord quality identification, in addition to instruction in solfege(movable do), and rhythmic/melodic sight reading.

About Jake

Hello!

I am currently a freelance violist and strings teacher in the greater Hartford area. I completed a masters degree in viola performance at The Hartt School in December of 2018.

In the past year, I have collaborated with Teaching Artists International in traveling to Peru and Guatemala to observe and teach students immersed in the El Sistema philosophy. El Sistema began in Venezuela as a method of orchestral instruction that carries with it an essential component of social justice and inclusivity.

Teaching is a great opportunity to get to know a young artist. My primary goal as a teacher has always been to help my students develop technical and musical abilities through regular practice and problem solving approaches, while always encouraging a unique musical voice. In our lessons together, we will explore your personal mus

ical interests, and I will also introduce you to an applied technical approach to the viola and violin, which I will cater to your individual technical and musical needs!

I would be more than happy to answer any specific questions you have about my pedagogical approach, and I look forward to hearing from you!

All the best,
-Jake Pietroniro-

Jake has a keen sense of how to pace lessons, and has a sharp eye & ear for technique. If I had just taught myself through YouTube I might be okay at violin, but the quality would be nowhere near where it is today without Jake's help. These lessons have been a good investment and I look forward to improving even more.

Want to be able to transcribe music, or maybe your just interested in developing a good musical ear? I will help you build a solid foundation of music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and technique while tailoring to your personal needs and goals. All ages and genres are welcome, my only rule is to have fun, so lets get started.

About Bebé

I am a professional singer, pianist, songwriter, and recording artist. I graduated from Broward College with an Associates Degree in Music Technology and dual -majoring in Vocal Performance. My primary instruments are Voice and Piano, but I also play guitar and trumpet.

All of my students can expect to improve weekly in their technique and skill level. I teach students to release built up tension and apply fundamental techniques by relaxing and enjoying their time practicing or performing. I can help any student to sing or play with freedom, confidence, and expression.

I teach students of all different ages and experience levels. I studied classical piano and voice for 4 years. I can teach students to excel in reading music, sight-reading, ear training, music theory, and performance and technique in not just classical music, but all

genres of music.

As a professional recording artist I frequently take trips to Atlanta and New York for recording and meeting with record labels. I have performed along side bands such as We The Kings, Plaid Brixx, and I have many musical connections such as Jadyn Maria, Katy Perry, Tiyon Christian, D. Smith, and more. I don't only teach my students, I mentor them, create a lasting friendship and help them reach their full potential and level of excellence.

My personal passion is contemporary music but I firmly believe that great technique is essential to any and every style. I look forward to meeting you and helping you to become a better musician!

I am a 60 year old man and so, one can imagine my initial reluctance to take up singing lessons at this age. But after the first 2 sessions with Bebé, I knew I was in the right hands. She is every bit the professional that you can trust to do a great job. I was extremely impressed, not only with her amazing vocal talents, but also with her technical skills, knowledge and experience. Bebé assessed my abilities, and set to work quickly and efficiently, and that's where I feel she truly excels. Bebé was patient, took her time to understand my objectives and capabilities, and pushed me just enough to keep gaining my confidence. I only had 5 lessons at this point, and I can already hear and feel the progress. The classes were fun, but Bebé takes her work very seriously, as any true professional would. I'm looking forward to my next sessions.

Ear Training Reviews

Rob H
"I brought my son to Randy two years ago to see if he would be a good fit as an instructor.

I had always wanted to learn to play the piano myself, but
thought that because I never learned (and probably never would), I would make sure my son learned how!

My son is not only well on his way to learning to play the piano by by ear, he is also having a blast recording his own music! Randy always emails out a recap of the lesson along with things to work on for the upcoming week. I love these recaps because I can listen to the music they recorded and know what my son should be working on. It's great!

I always remembered hearing about what learning to play an instrument was like when I was younger (probably why I never tried to learn), an old blue hair wapping your hand with a ruler when you did not practice enough.

This is not what it is like at all with Randy. Lessons can be as engaging as you want them to be. Randy has a special talent to know what to focus on every week based on how his student is feeling.

I know this because I have witnessed several lessons where my son has been a real bundle of energy bouncing off the walls and Randy was able to reel him in and make progress for the day!

I have enjoyed watching my son grow as a musician so much , that I started taking lessons from Randy about a year ago. My favorite part about the process is I told Randy up front that I wanted to play November Rain by Guns -n- Roses, (no easy task). He did not tell me that it was an impossible, or that it was a bad idea... He just drew the sheet music and we got after it. It has been awesome learning my favorite song along and at the same time learning how to play the piano by ear.

You will begin to listen to all music differently after spending time with Randy, that is a fact.

I have always been a lover of music, but it goes to the next level when you start to gain an understanding and a feeling of how the music is put together.

I know that Randy is able to look down the road with each student and know how exactly how to teach each individual because everyone responds differently.

Randy really does a terrific job making sure you know that it is not IF you will reach your goals, but WHEN.

I am confident that we will be his students as long as he will have us, and I highly recommend you give him a try! You won't be disappointed!"

"I have been working with Jesse for a few years now. I am bummed that the subject section of this review only lets me select one subject. Jesse has helped
me with ear training, theory and composition, piano, performance, harmony, and overall musician advice. I cannot think of a more authentic and caring mentor and teacher out there that could be as efficient and helpful as Jesse has been to my career. I have seen a lot of progress in my musical career and my confidence as a musician has grown thanks to Jesse! He genuinely cares about the art and his students, he gets involved in their music careers and makes sure that the lesson is learned. He is familiar with many approaches and works hard for his students. Music is very lucky to have Jesse as a teacher!"
