Nationally-certified teacher of the Michael Chekhov Technique of acting, Kara Cantrell is a professional stage and screen actress, director, producer, and theatre educator. She has appeared on screen in Allegiant and Logan Lucky, and on numerous stages around her home base of Atlanta, GA. She holds a BFA and an MFA in acting, and has taught at The University of Georgia, Kennesaw State University, and the University of Southern Mississippi to name a few.

Though steeped in Chekhov's psycho-physical approach to acting, Kara is an intuitive teacher who shapes the lesson to the student and his or her needs. She is also an experienced and adept improviser and experienced in the Linklater approach to vocal training.

Kara is passionate about acting, about the arts broadly, and about teaching. Her greatest joy is working with actors to find those moments of transcendence that define great performances.
