For the first 10 years I wrote songs, I was almost always the youngest person in the room. Then, I found myself working for many years with artists and writers of my own age group. Now, as time has marched on, I am most often the "old guy" at the party, as we work on music for TV shows. I think this gives me a unique perspective. I have a 40 year history as a professional songwriter, and I still make music every day.
