Contrary to popular belief, creativity is teachable. If you understand the inner workings of music, then you'll be better equipped to write effective songs.
About Chris
My name is Chris B. and I've been playing music for most of my life. The best lesson that I've learned is that we're never done learning. Once you start believing that you know everything there is to know about your instrument then you've stopped growing. I've also learned that I enjoy sharing

For the first 10 years I wrote songs, I was almost always the youngest person in the room. Then, I found myself working for many years with artists and writers of my own age group. Now, as time has marched on, I am most often the "old guy" at the party, as we work on music for TV shows. I think this gives me a unique perspective. I have a 40 year history as a professional songwriter, and I still make music every day. The incredible opportunities and relationships that I have had with amazing artists of all sorts remain a source of inspiration. As a writer, producer/engineer, and bass player, I have helped create hit songs over 4 decades. I have been so fortunate to work with a wide variety of artists, such as Emmylou Harris, Marcy Playground, Fuel, Dolly Parton, Jeffrey Gaines, Sunshine, the Badlees, and many more. As a Voting Member of the Grammy Academy, I have advocated for young and creatively new artists.
I have been given two ASCAP PLUS Awards for mentoring and co-creating ...

“First-rate compositions,” wrote Ken Tucker ("Entertainment Weekly" and radio’s "Fresh Air") of Williams’ songs. Both "Publishers Weekly" and "School Library Journal" highly recommend Williams’ two CDs for children. "One out of thousands!” wrote a reviewer for Europe’s "Radio Marabu" of Williams’s pop/folk-rock CD, “...true, honest music…a priceless treasure for a lifetime.”

Earlier this week, Eddie Vedder announced the venues for his upcoming solo tour, stopping in 13 cities to promote his 2011 album "Ukelele Songs." The tour begins on April 11th in Las Vegas, and then works across the country, ending on May 16th in Orlando. Pearl Jam embarks on its European tour just one month after.
