I have taught more than 8,000 science, math, and foreign language lessons and enjoy spreading my enthusiasm for physics, chemistry, geometry, algebra, pre-calculus, French, and other subjects. I am patient, understanding, and knowledgeable and willing to repeat explanations as often as necessary or modify my approach to aid in comprehension.

Session are 1-2 hours in length and will cover all subject areas as needed, including test-taking strategies.

I've helped students with the ACT for a number of years. There is a mindset to learning the "tricks" of this standardized test. I want students to recognize the patterns to the test questions so that they can know exactly how to answer them.

I offer individual tutoring for all middle school, high school and college mathematics, physics and computer science classes and all standardized exams. I come with more than ten years of teaching and tutoring experience, pedagogical know-how, educational resources, and am always professional. A little about myself. I was enrolled in a top mathematical high school and won multiple mathematical olympiads starting at a young age. I graduated from university with honors and the highest departmental distinction. While at the university I served as a teaching assistant and tutored other students. Hello, my name is Alec! I am an expert in all sections of the ACT: English, Math, Reading, and Science. I am an enthusiastic, kind, encouraging, and patient tutor. I have almost 3 years of teaching experience as a private tutor and at 2 different colleges (The University of Colorado Boulder and Colorado Mountain College in Edwards). I scored a 36 on the ACT, including a 36 on all 4 main sections. I deeply understand the material on all sections of the ACT. Apart from the material on the test, I understand the best testing strategies and mindsets needed to ace the test. This knowledge has come from my experience working with students of all backgrounds, the 4 books I have read on how to beat the ACT, and my own experience taking the ACT.
