I love teaching and providing a supportive and creative environment where my students have fun learning to make music. I work with students at their own pace to make their musical experience both enjoyable and educational. My students look forward to their lessons, and our time together each week passes by quickly! I'm skilled in playing and teaching classical music as well as theater and pop repertoire for students of all ages. I enjoy working with young students who are beginners, and also with teens or adults who are âcoming backâ to piano, or learning for the first time. I've developed a Pop-Piano Method based on learning chord structure and music theory for playing by âearâ for students with 2-3 years of piano or other musical instrument. In addition to teaching ...
I started my musical education in a children's choir at age 6. When I turned 8 years old, I began piano lessons. I started violin at 9 and trombone at 10. I am now proficient on the guitar, bass, and piano. Having completed my tour of duty in the U.S. Army, I am currently on the Dean's list as a music/audio production major, and plan to continue my music education until I earn at least a masters in performance and composition. I started my teaching career at Milestones in Music, a local studio, as an independent contractor, where i was able to gain valuable experience and fine tune my curriculum. I am a member of the Grammy U Recording Academy, and have had opportunities to work with a lot of different musicians. (The Recording Academy is the organization that created the most ...
Having graduated from Westminster Choir College, I have learned many techniques for helping students to understand their voices better. I have taken voice lessons myself since 2002, and still do take them. This gives me the opportunity to learn new and different techniques. As every student is different, there are many different techniques that can help the student to find their voice. One style of teaching that I really feel is important when discussing the voice is the idea of just singing. Often times, as was my experience, when people hear voices they like they will mimic that sound. The problem with that is that the person will start singing with a voice that does not work with their body. That is usually my first goal if they have this particular issue. Many times ...
Hi, My name is Ed and listed in the different sections of this page are: a very brief bio, an explanation of my approach, and a description of what I and my studio have to offer. I have 16 years teaching experience as well as extensive playing and touring experience in all styles and genres, which gives me the insight to know what is most important for really playing the instrument. I attended Bucks County Community College and West Chester University. I also studied privately with Ken Miller (Philly Pops Orchestra tympanist), John Alberti and Martin Bradfield. I am currently a member of The Chuck Anderson Trio on the Dreambox ...

Eric was raised in a single parent home in the city of Philadelphia. It was at the age of 12, without prior instruction, that Eric began to play the piano and write songs. Seeing this talent Eric was immediately enrolled into music school to take piano lessons. At his local church Eric eventually became the assistant youth choir director and worship leader. As a songwriter, Eric has shared his music with local artists and has had one of his songs recorded by a local gospel artist. In 2002, Eric enrolled in Millersville University of Pennsylvania as a music major with voice as his primary instrument. Eric quickly became the choral director for the university's Gospel Choir. This afforded him the opportunity to arrange a contemporary version of the school's Alma Mata which he still ...
