I have been teaching private lessons and group classes in Dance for 9 years and I absolutely love it. I have taught students of all ages and levels as well as served as the Creative Dance Director for a Ballroom Dance Program in SF. Lessons are focused on connecting with the body and its natural movement as well precision in steps. I create a safe and fun environment as you discover as you learn new styles of dance.

About LeAnna

Hello, welcome to my profile and thank you for taking the time to check it out. I am happy to introduce myself to you and share that teaching the performing arts is one of the greatest joys of my life. I am a performing artist and teacher in Los Angeles, teaching a variety of classes from music, dance and theatre. I graduated from San Francisco State University in 2009 where I received a BA in Classical Music, a BA in Dance with a focus in choreography, and a minor in Multi-Cultural Theatre. I have such a strong, well-rounded background in many styles because I value creative exploration. As a vocalist, I studied classical voice since I was 16 years old, trained at SFSU and La Universidad de Catolica in Santiago, Chile and consider that as strong foundation, but always explored ...

Debbie K.

Burbank, CA

I am a dance choreographer and would love to choreograph something original and unique for you. I have over 20 years of dance experience from ballet to tap to contemporary and hip hop. I believe that the best dancing happens when heart meets body. So we will work on connecting to the piece as well as technique.

About Debbie

Tutoring has been a major part of my life for over 7 years and I love it. Seeing the excitement in a student's eyes when they finally get something they've struggled with is why I do what I do. My strength is in getting to know the way a student learns best and finding techniques that support that style and help the student grow. I have experience working with mild autism and have multiple references if interested.

Tibor is a great dancer and a great teacher. My biggest issue was the lack of communication and the inability to keep a consistent schedule. I needed this dance for a surprise for my wedding reception and some weeks we wouldn't meet at all and sometimes we would only meet once even though we were scheduled for 3 times. Unfortunately I had to decide against the dance because as time wound down, he was less and less available and no progress was being made.

Tibor is an amazing dancer and an amazing teacher. I can't begin to say how grateful I am that I found him on Take Lessons. I have been trying to learn Bachata for several months, and have taken private lessons from several different teachers, but none of these other teachers come close to being as good as Tibor. He breaks down the moves in a way that makes them understandable. I have made real progress thanks to Tibor and give him the highest possible recommendation!

I'm an advanced Hip-Hop Dancer wanted to learn different Streetdance styles, so I looked for somebody who is proficient teaching various street-dance styles like Locking, Popping, Krump, New Jack Swing, Waacking etc.. I gave Tibor a shot, because he got intensively trained with one of the progenitors of Street-Dance, called Shabba Doo (Star of the movies Breakin', Original Locker, Soul Train Gang Member...). I was surprised that Tibor was able to teach me a lot I didn't know, even as an advanced Choreography Dancer. I learned a lot about the history of street-dance and the history of the steps. The technique he learned in all these styles are from the Original Generation, meaning that he learned from the creators of street-dance. I can just recommend him to anybody out there who wants to learn more about real street-dance!
