Wonderful teacher!

Sarah is a wonderful teacher! I started from zero and she has walked me through reading music, fretting and playing melodies, and chords. I have learned so much and our lessons have opened up a world of ukulele fun. Between lessons I'm able to continue practicing the exercises, and also try new songs on my own. Sarah is very patient and so encouraging! I always have fun during our lessons! We have our lessons via Skype, which has worked out very well.

Chad T.

Turlock, CA

About Chad

I have played and taught music for over 20 years. I am a multi-instrumentalist. Many of my students enjoy exploring other instruments as they learn and grow in their music knowledge. A typical lesson is in the comfort of your home. We review work from the last week, learn a new song and discuss any questions you might have. Taking lessons should be fun, challenging and full of real music. I use music to learn and grow in every lesson. *** Travel Equipment *** I expect my students to bring their instrument or have one at home to practice on. I provide Most homework sheets. I want my students to buy needed books. *** Specialties *** I specialize in beginner classes. On piano, I stay close to classical and jazz styles and methods. On guitar, I teach folk, and rock. I teach guitar ...

Greg D.

Tracy, CA

About Greg

I started playing guitar in the 5th grade and in middle school began playing in rock groups. At the beginning of high school, I started teaching in some of the local music stores in the area. While wanting more from my playing, I started classical guitar lessons with an Andre Segovia student, Rani Cochran, and soon started lessons from Warren Nunes, a top jazz guitarist in the Bay Area. While continuing to take lessons in both types of music, I majored in Music at the local college. There I played in the jazz band and in guitar ensembles. After receiving my A.A. degree, I took classical guitar lessons with Larry Ferrara at the Conservatory of Music in San Francisco. At this point I transferred to San Jose State University and received a B.A. in guitar performance and a B.A. in ...
