About Matthew
Dear Parents and Students,

May I be a personal tutor for you or your child? I have been successfully tutoring for over 12 years. I have great references, and I am one of the top tutors because I am so easy to work with. I teach in person, or via TakeLessons classroom, telephone, Skype, FaceTime, Google Hangouts, Join.me, Appear.in, Screenhero (remote desktop, screen sharing) interactive whiteboards, as well as email attachments (PDF, Word, Excel, etc.) I graduated with honors, Summa Cum Laude from Case Western Reserve University, where I made the Dean's List. I also earned a Provost Academic Scholarship for my excellent test scores, including 34 in ACT mathematics and 780 in SAT mathematics.

While it should go without saying, I have a clean background that has been verified by the FBI and BCII. Let me know if you would like to set up an introductory lesson to design a customized strategy. There is no obligation to continue unless a customer is 100% satisfied.

Matthew explained his approach to coaching and the plan so we were able to make an educated choice on the best tutor for our son. Matthew was responsive, organized and worked very well with our son. He communicated directly with our son and cc:ed me so that I was aware of the plan and f/u. His scores did improve on the SAT and we were pleased with the investment.

Matt has been awesome for my student. His math skills have improved greatly, and his writing has come from illegible to what can now be described as neat and readable. Matt has been very patient and deliberate with our son and has taken the time to really explain things to Jake in a way he can understand. We would recommend this tutor to any parent looking for a tutor for their grammar school student! Matt is also reliable and prompt and showed up when expected which was helpful with our very busy schedules.

Matt has been awesome working with my sixteen year-old daughter and her algebra. She was hesitant about Skype and tutoring online but it has been so great working with Matt. He is very professional and organized and took the time to review her tests and homework prior to the scheduled session. He knew exactly what she needed to work on and after just a few sessions, she is feeling confident and has a better idea what and how to study! We highly recommend online tutoring and especially working with Matt!

10-Hour Course will prepare you to keep improving on your own and will improve at least 3-4 critical sounds/vowels/consonants that you struggle with the most. Liaisons and the schwa sound - most people have no idea about these, but you will learn what they are and how to sound more like a native speaker if you use them both correctly.

Suggested: At least 30 hours for long term accountability and change.

There is more time available than what is shown on my calendar. Please email me to discuss your preferred time. I call you before the lesson and plan your specific goals. I create a tailored course specifically for your needs, whether you're from Russia, Japan, Latin America, Italy, France or another country. I have 12 years' experience, and I am an expert.

I use a specific curriculum to help you understand the phonetics and vowel sounds in the English language. There are so many different vowel pairs and learners of English must understand them all. Let me help you ...

About Micah
I have been a full time private English instructor since 2008, and I've had my global language training company (over 100 instructors) since 2014. I take on private students here, exclusively with take lessons, because it's important to always be teaching and creating more modern curriculum for real progress in fluency. I know what it takes to get fluent, because I've acquired Spanish, French and Japanese as an adult. I know you can improve and reach your goals just as I have.

I always call clients before the first class to extensively discuss your goals. I have a specific form we full out together for every 3 months of progress. I have researched this, and it's the most effective way to improve.

I work primarily with professionals who need to improve American English language skills and/ or accent for those working in the United
States or working with Americans. Also, I can get English speakers to a high level of fluency in Spanish.

This includes, slang, idioms, phrasal verbs, professional email writing, presentations, American culture, accent/pronunciation and more.

I have created a method, which is a specific way to learn languages, which is the most effective for acquiring a language.

I always use RELEVANT articles to read, TV shows to watch, books to read, radio shows to listen to, in order to incorporate English as much as possible in every aspect of the student's life.

This is how we learn our first language, so why would we try to learn our second language in a different way? Second language researchers have been saying for decades that grammar- focused lessons don't work, yet our schools continue to focus on this. You want to be FLUENT, right? Writing is easy after that.

I have had contracts with Hitachi, NTT Data, Intel, Amazon, Google, American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Samsung, Ferrovial, Webber, Bluebonnet, Austin Bridges and Roads, North Tarrant Infrastructure, Trinity, Mary Kay International, and many, many more international companies.

How I teach: I create customized classes for you. I teach you to SPEAK the language. Lessons are dynamic, fun and give you confidence, incorporating things you like: TV, radio, music, movies, current events, and much more.

One-on-one, small groups, company-wide programs, online, in person.

I can help you adapt your accent or dialect for an acting role or for business/professional purposes. “Accent reduction” is sort of a misnomer because what we’re really doing is learning a different accent; we all have accents. I can help you code-switch between your habitual dialect and one that you feel is more suitable for your situation.

About Erin
I am an actor, speech & dialect coach, and acting teacher. I had steady freelance teaching and coaching jobs for 3 years in NYC, as well as steady acting work in NYC and Chicago theatre for 5 years total.

I moved to LA from Cambridge, MA, where I earned my Master's in Acting from the American Repertory Theater Institute at Harvard. I am certified in unarmed stage combat as well.

I have coached privately and for theatre productions ranging from world-premieres to revivals of Pinter plays to musicals. I love working with actors of all experience levels!

I had to learn an Irish dialect for a big audition I was called in for last minute. My friend suggested Erin to help with dialect coaching and audition coaching, and man, I'm so grateful. With Erin's training and expertise, I was able to learn the Irish dialect in an hour and nailed the audition! She has experience with multiple acting and audition techniques...she's able to speak multiple acting "languages". If you're looking for any audition coaching or dialect coaching, I definitely recommend Erin! She knows what she's doing!

I have worked with Erin on several occasions, because she is so wonderful at her job! She has helped me to prepare for numerous auditions, many of which have gone very well as a result. She is an incredible actor herself, and she uses her talent and expertise to help me be the best actor I can be. Finding my super objective in a monologue or scene, the different tactics, focus, awareness, groundedness... these are all things she has helped me to do to strengthen my own work. She is down to earth and open, which makes working with her really easy and comfortable. Performing my work in front of somebody else can be very difficult, because I often question what the viewer will think of me. Not only does Erin help me fight that fear, she helps me find the gratitude and joy in getting to perform. I highly recommend Erin as an acting coach! She’s fantastic!

Favorably and extensively reviewed and proven to be effective by students, the accent-reduction program developed from Burrkowsky's (1969) multi-media method. I have taught this subject for over five years for public and private causes, such as library, individuals, and language schools. My emphasis for pronunciation is a scientific, comprehensive overview and treatment of the various sounds, rhythms, inflections, and patterns the spoken language integrates.

The goal is to develop a comprehensive, systematic sound profile based on lesson recordings using wave monitoring software. Also, a crash course option exists based more on broad familiarization than intensive practice-orientation. The course encompasses more than 135 pdf and word files, along with multimedia items.

My style and attitude toward teaching is a balance between subject delivery and reflective, supportive interaction. I seek to enable current research on education for busy, yet goal-driven student interests. I have developed a proven, groundbreaking, unique, fun and interactive approach to reduce, and in some cases eliminate the foreign accent completely. How you ask? Being a singing teacher for over 15 years, I have always found it fascinating when my foreign students would be able to sing a standard American song with NO accent. Somehow, singing completely eliminated their accent. Since that discovery, I was determined to find out why and how. Based on my research, I have created a very easy to understand method that can dramatically reduce the foreign accent.

Coming from an immigrant family myself, and being fluent in three languages (English, Spanish, Italian), I can relate to the challenges foreigners face when attempting to speak in a neutralized American accent. This can be holding you back from advancing your career.

You will see results instantly. Take the first step to propel your career to the next level!

Gabriel developed a proprietary method of accent reduction that makes it easy to focus on the areas that need change or improvement. The method, combined with Gabriel’s passion for teaching, make the classes dynamic and productive. He quickly identified my problematic areas, and patiently worked with me on changes I needed to make to the way I pronounce certain sounds.

He also provides ample resources and direction for exercises in between the lessons to make the progress faster. I highly recommend Gabriel for accent reduction classes.
