I am well versed in theory as it pertains to the actual function and sound of music. Being self taught, I know how to explain concepts to players in a much more direct and easily followable way, as opposed to what you might find with a person who is academically trained in music.
I also have perfect pitch, so I am great at learning by ear, knowing what feels right when it comes to songwriting, and have an extensive knowledge on chords, tuning, and learning by ear.
I specialize in mainly electric guitar in rock/heavy metal/punk rock, but am also knowledgeable in acoustic guitar. In addition, I am an Audio Engineering major in college, so I have extensive knowledge in recording and mixing music, if that is ...

My 9yo son has been taking lessons from Judy since he was a young 6. Judy is patient and keeps the lessons fun and will adjust music to the child's interests. He knows the ins & outs of a guitar, can read sheet music, pick or strum a song, has great rhythm & loves guitar all thanks to Judy!!!!!"
