I personally adore the ukulele, especially as a starter instrument! I've been playing uke for 7 years now, and it's the perfect accompaniment whether you're on stage or in your bedroom. It's easy to travel with, too, if you have a busy life and are always on the go, ukulele is easy to learn and get good at quickly (but you obviously still need to put the practice time in!!) I write a lot of songs on the ukulele & love the unique style and sound it has.
