Elena was able to teach someone 500 miles away the basics to a slew of different Latin ballroom dances (salsa, marengue, bachata, cumbia step, etc.) In just a few lessons I was able to feel comfortable enough with the steps and timing to be able to dance in public with others! She was very amazing and was willing to accommodate to my needs as a student. She gave plenty of reference material as well as songs so that I'd be able to practice when not taking lessons. I would highly recommend her as a teacher to anyone who is wanting to learn Latin Ballroom dance, but doesn't know where to start!

I've been teaching Spanish for 24 years and my students have improved their grades , passed their Spanish tests, decided to travel to Spanish-speaking countries, become better qualified for jobs, enriched their relationships with friends and family and more! Within a few lessons you will feel empowered to communicate: speaking and understanding. Reading and writing skills, grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary will also be addressed as needed.I teach conversational Spanish, SAT subject test in Spanish, CLEP Spanish, AP Spanish language.Within a few lessons you will feel I have the age-appropriate resources, games and creative ideas to instill your love for learning Spanish and getting to know the Spanish culture.

About Carina
I love teaching all ages and levels because I enjoy seeing students learn and achieve personal, social or professional goals. Everybody can learn if I respect the student's needs, pace and learning style, and if I tap into his/ her interests and strengths. A comprehensive approach that includes speaking, reading, writing and listening is necessary, however I focus primarily on communication . I provide knowledge, fun, creativity and flexibility to guarantee a successful pleasant experience for all students.
I am a native from Argentina. I moved to the US in 1996, therefore I can relate to the feelings involved in learning a foreign language. I live a bilingual life raising my daughter who is 14 and my son who is 6 years old . I travel to Argentina once or twice a year. I teach conversational Spanish, SAT subject test in Spanish,
CLEP Spanish, AP Spanish language.

About Marisol
¡Hola!
I am Marisol. I was born in Peru and also lived in Venezuela for many years. Now, I live in the beautiful Northwest coast of Oregon.
I used to practice law in South America. Now, looking for a more relaxing life with my family, I have found enjoyment teaching Spanish to people of different ages and backgrounds.
I have experience teaching Spanish at all levels and ages, including people that want to learn the language as a personal goal or traveling purposes, college students, and professionals that need Spanish for their work.
I have also taught Spanish to elementary/middle/high school students. Most of these students need help with the Spanish they are learning at school. It has been very rewarding seeing them improve their knowledge, grades, and motivation to learn.

Marisol is an incredible instructor. There was some confusion over when my first lesson would start, but she was incredibly patient with everything. My first lesson went very well. We worked a lot on pronunciation and making basic sentences with vocabulary words. She encouraged me to ask questions and not be afraid to make mistakes. She’s such a wonderful teacher; I feel like I learned so much in just one lesson. I am really looking forward to our next lesson!

Spanish is a beautiful language. In my class, I teach students the basics, including the alphabet, numbers, vowels, consonants, ‘r’-rolling, as well as beginner words and phrases. I look forward to teaching you!

About Salina
I am finishing my senior year at Northwestern State University of Louisiana. I will be receiving a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice in the Spring of 2020. I love aspiring creative minds. I teach three classes: drawing, psychology, and Spanish.

Drawing has been a passion of mine since I was a young girl. I am self-taught, and found that I enjoy teaching it. I taught my younger sister, whom had no interest in drawing until she was a teenager. She now studies art at McNeese State University, and teaches painting classes at the local Painting with a Twist studio. Upon receiving her Bachelor's, she plans on owning her own PWAT studio. I am truly proud of her!

As a current student, psychology is fresh on the brain. I can be a great tutor rather than teacher if you need assistance, or if you are interested
in learning something new. The human mind is brilliant, and I would love to show you!

I have a Puerto Rican father, and I am self-taught in Spanish. My father was occupied with his career in the U.S. Army to stay consistent with my Spanish language development during my childhood. To learn a second language, all it takes it motivation, hard work, and dedication. Nothing is impossible!

I look forward to helping students reach their best potential in my classes!

I am a native from Cuba, so my first language is Spanish. Everyone in my house speaks Spanish and I would like to teach Spanish to those who need Spanish in this fast-growing economy that is really in need of new Spanish-speakers in order to compete within the working industries. I took all 5 years of Spanish in Elementary (as expected), 3 years of Spanish in middle school, and 1 year of Spanish in High School. For middle school, I received an excellence award for having the best grades and the best test scores out of all the Spanish students in my school. I’m a very patient person and I love helping others, so I expect my students to learn a lot from me. This is because I have a lot of knowledge in the Spanish language and a lot of passion for extending the Spanish-speaking fluency.

About Oresmary
I have performance experience ranging from childhood to early adulthood and I may also include performing advice for those who struggle with “stage fright”, or those who simply would like to become better performers. I’m a former orchestral player that performed in a competition in Tennessee named Fiestaval. I am a Soprano singer capable of singing operatic pieces. I speak both English and Spanish, but I can sing in English, Italian, Latin, and Spanish.

I look forward to helping those who are as passionate for music as I am and I expect to learn alongside as well, since that is a teacher’s reward; to learn and teach at the same time.

Spanish has been my passion for close to five years. I even began my career as a graduate student in Spanish language studies. Through the use of popular culture, such as music and television and movie clips, I will aid you in an energetic approach to the Spanish language! Every learner is different, and I want to tailor the setting to your needs.

About Karson
I am a graduate student in a Department of Religious Studies. I began my graduate career in Spanish language studies but rekindled my relationship with religious studies, which I also pursued in undergraduate school. I studied Spanish throughout high school and found a true love for it once I reached college. I love the bonds people create when learning different languages because it requires trust and a keen sense of compassion. I have been to Peru twice, which has also broadened my understanding and use of Spanish! In the near future, I hope to enrich my language rolodex by learning Italian. I suppose one might say I have a love for Romance Languages!
