I am passionate about helping my students learn English and I am uniquely suited to communicating in situations where English is a second language. This is because I come from a multi-lingual and cultural background. I grew-up in an English and Indian/East-African family. I have lived in Scotland, England, Italy and the U.S. I speak English, Italian and French. I have always lived between cultures and languages, so I embrace the diversity of my students' languages and cultures.
I teach all levels and ages of student. I focus on teaching students by building their confidence to communicate in whichever way(s) they choose: conversation, reading or writing. I use different media: video, articles, text books, songs, movies and literature, which can all be shared through an interactive on-line platform or through in-person lessons. I really enjoy getting to know my students: engaging them through their interests and needs.
I have fifteen years of language teaching experience, five ...

Nina is very nice. As an adult, it is sometimes difficult to learn a new language because you are embarrassed to make mistakes. Nina makes you feel comfortable.
The lessons are organised and are going in a rhythm that you can follow.

Dear guys,

I create and teach uniquely tailored classes in English as a Foreign Language at all levels to adults and children. I created and taught long-term English Immersion Programs for international companies, entrepreneurs and their families.

As a longtime translator, I work on artistic and technical projects from Russian, French and Italian into English.

I’m thrilled and dedicated to diving into our language classes, with goals and dreams unique to each of you. I’d love to share with you the incredible, simple, awesome tools to enliven your learning journey!

About Jane (Zhenya)
I was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia and have always had an immense love for languages and cultures of the world. I found that diving into a new language and culture is one of the most incredible, joyful, compassionate and meaningful paths to discovering the world. All the while, rediscovering one’s own unique interests and curiosities. It’s always surprising and rewarding in ways we can’t foresee.

As a longtime, professional independent instructor, I never imagined where my languages and creative work would lead me and the wonderful folks I encountered along the way.

It’s been a journey of incredible variety.

I had the amazing opportunity to create and teach the first Russian, French and Italian classes to children in public elementary schools all around Oxnard. I was invited to teach French and Italian classes i
n the Ventura College Community Education, Russian immersion program for the U.S. Government and English to a team of international entrepreneurs and their families.

This work and my students inspired a joyful dedication to creating live video classes. I discovered that it’s a special, interactive and awesome platform into the world and I love seeing it grow.

I look forward to working with you and supporting you on your language journey.

Till then,

Zhenya

Few years ago, when I was attending LACC and taking grammar classes I thought that my knowledge of Verb Tenses was good enough . I used to write huge essays included a lot of pages. Moreover, I was getting straight As for all the essays that inspired me. Maybe my grammar was really correct, but I’m not sure that I expressed meaning correctly because I didn’t feel and recognize many nuances of Verb Tenses. Since , I started to take your classes I have understood how Verb Tenses are diverse , how flexible meaning they have in order to show our emotions.
Some people say it”s not necessary to use all V.T. Simple Past , Present and Future it”s enough for communication with each other, but I’m not agree with them. Using all V.T. we have made English more rich , natural and beautiful for that reason our life become jucier.
I never had been so fascinated by studying English grammar before I met you 
I have appreciated your teaching full love . You’re always ready to share your skills with the people who want to improve their knowledge. I’m happy that I found you!
THANK YOU MY DEAR Zhenya !!!!!!!! 

I am a full time online English Teacher, and a previous daycare owner for 10+years. I have tutored many ESL students. Over a period of time, and within the first few lessons, my students English, speaking abilities have improved a great deal. My teaching philosophy, is that learning requires more than just educating someone or acquiring new knowledge. In my opinion, I feel, that it is more so rather, are entire inner and outer circle of well being; which is why my approach to teaching, is from an aural, visual and curiosity perspective. Clay Patrick Bedford, once said: “You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives” My teaching techniques are always challenging. However, very exciting, interesting, with a blast of fun and lots of activities; very suitable and appropriate for any level of ESL. During my teaching experience I have observed that a confident learner progresses more quickly than a discouraged one. My number one goal, is your child's success. Let's aim for the stars!

I've been teaching various things for over 20 years, including teaching ESL to students internationally online and in person. My style is very encouraging and motivating. My approach is to focus on building skills in pronunciation and comprehension because it is critical for being able to clearly communicate. Conversational English is what my international student's tell me is their weakest area. They tell me they want to practice having conversations because they usually don't have native English speakers to talk with. I create a very relaxed and safe-to-make mistakes kind of environment. If you want to practice your conversational skills, let's chat. If you want to build your comprehension and other English skills, let's work together. I look forward to meeting you. See you in the classroom.

About Mardee
Welcome. I'm a mature teacher with a Master degree and TEFL certification. I've been teaching for over 20 years and love it. I am an enthusiastic and motivating teacher. I love to have fun and I enjoy teaching students of all levels. I have taught in the classroom and online for years. I love to travel to experience different cultures and learn from them, which is one reason I started teaching online to ESL students. I have work with students online from all over the world for a few years. Working online allows me to meet students I may not otherwise get to meet. It also allows me the freedom to work and travel. I plan to travel to Asia in October 2019 to meet some of my students I've been teaching for a couple of years.

My background in teaching spans many different topics, including K-12 teaching educational subjects and adults
in career development. Primarily I teach ESL students now and I ABSOLUTELY love it.

I'll see you in the classroom.

Hello! I am Brooke Shoup and I have been working with international students for the last five years. Together we have worked on conversational English, cultural understanding, and I will also work through papers and assignments with my students as well.

I love to learn and meet new people, and have often become long lasting friends with my international students coming from China, Japan, South Korea, and Saudi Arabia!

About Brooke
I believe that making music should be a fun and creative experience. I specialize in teaching piano functionally which means helping you to learn the type of music you want to play as quickly as possible while giving you the tools to add your own style to a piece.

When a new student is learning music, it is most important to establish a love of the instrument in order to see results. This is made possible by teaching music theory, sight reading, technique, and ear training led by the student's natural interests. I have over ten years of experience working with kids across a variety of settings with one year experience in special needs and four years working in music composition and performance.

Please let me know if you have any questions, I'd be happy to speak with you!
