My primary goal as a teacher is to present musical material in a way that keeps students excited about what they are learning. Even with absolute beginners, I will have a student playing actual songs that they are interested in as quickly as possible. Along with way I include fundamentals such as scales, strength-building exercises, rudiments of theory, and ear training.
I also use interactive music websites to introduce students to concepts of music theory.

Ukulele can be a great first instrument for young music lovers! Perfect for little hands, the ukulele gives students the opportunity to practice playing a string instrument! Kids will be learning chords from their first lesson and may be surprised to find out how many popular songs can be played on a ukulele! I am a laid back and fun teacher and kids can learn in a low-pressure environment with lots of encouragement and support from me! *Group lessons available by request*

I am genuinely passionate about your success in becoming the best ukulele player you choose to be! I like to teach with repetition (wax on wax off) and prefer to present the big picture first so that every obstacle may potentially never be an obstacle for you. I take years of teaching experience and what have been topics of frustration brought to me from students in the past. I try to smooth the road and teach you, so you get the highest yield of success for your money with as little headaches as possible :)

Students can expect to be playing a full song by the end of the first lesson while learning their way around a ukulele with building chords, strumming patterns, tuning, and proper technique. Anyone and everyone can learn to play the ukulele!
