My lessons are very STUDENT oriented. I teach fundamentals, I teach technique, and I really focus on the instrument placed in front of me. Tone, quality, purity, and health are my main focuses. Classical, opera, jazz, musical theatre, pop, rock, whatever style, that’s what I’ll work with you on and guide you to finding your voice, healthy placement, and get you to the level you want to be at.

I have been studying voice since 1995 in England. I have a Doctorate and Masters in Opera Directing, and Bachelors in Vocal Performance and Theatre Arts. While receiving my degrees, I participated in operas and musicals as well as oratorios. I am a soprano, but I am familiar with all voice types. I believe that each person needs to discover their own voice, and I want to help you discover YOUR voice.

My background in directing and acting is helpful in assisting with role preparation, not just vocal technique.

I am an accomplished vocal coach and songwriter and currently work with a wide variety of singers from young beginners to professionals who look to develop through ear training, singing and songwriting. In a unique way I guide people to become better performers and musicians through the combination of voice, piano and composition. I also work with pianists and guitarists to help them use their instruments for better singing and ear training.

Becoming comfortable as a vocalist is TOUGH. But there are simple tricks I’ve learned outside of just running scales. Lets enjoy our time expressing ourselves!

My mission is to help students reach their fullest potential as singers and to build their confidence in the process. Lessons focus on each student as an individual and can encompass anything from vocal technique and song repertoire to audition coaching and even recording sessions to help the students with a project or to help them simply hear the subtleties in their voice more clearly as they train and grow.

*I teach breath support in a way most teachers do not. I help students gain strong abdominal muscles and teach them how to use them to sing with more power and control.
