Nothing is more satisfying than hearing yourself playing a song that moves and inspires you! With 15 years of playing guitar I now pass on that knowledge to my students. Helping people learn the fundamentals of guitar playing and music is both an amazing and invaluable experience. We will not only go over how to play the guitar but also music theory and how to write your own songs! I try to keep my lessons both fun and engaging as they are not just about drills and lesson plans but instead are catered to the individual student and what they want to learn. I teach all ages as it is never too late to pickup a guitar and start playing! I also rent out guitars to students just starting out who do not have an instrument yet for $5 a week and give advice on how to pick their first guitar! I am also available to teach online or in person!

An experienced guitar player of 15 years. Especially good with beginners including both very young and older students. It's never too early or late to start playing! Will cater a specific personal lesson plan to your desires to make sure we move at YOUR best pace. We'll build a solid foundation so that you can learn how to teach yourself and continue to grow and love music long after these lessons. We can get you up and running with your favorite tunes or start delving into the musical theory side of things. I make sure that our lessons are fun but also challenging and I make sure we spend some time learning how to build finger strength, how to improvise, and (most importantly) how to play with other musicians!

The Guitar is my first love. I customize every lesson for every individual student that I have, and base the heart of each lesson off of the infatuation I have for my six-stringed side kick. I love to use the guitar as a tool to expand my students creativity. My students learn to listen and appreciate a broad variety of styles and experience the full music spectrum.
Lessons will cover scales, theory, chords, jazz and blues progression as well as Crafting your tone for your amplifier, finger picking and performance techniques.
About Rachel
I started my musical path in a Ballet Studio. I fell in love with the crackle of the vinyl record playing as I learned to listen and dance with the rhythm. I started playing the guitar when I was in elementary and took classical lessons until I was a teenager.I really enjoy the art of practice

If you want to learn Guitar I recommend him!"

I find that the biggest challenge in learning something new, is keeping my own internal critic under control as I struggle with note reading, and learn how to play the guitar. The fact that Steve is so patient and never critical helps to offset my internal critic. I have felt self doubting in the first two lessons, but by lesson 3, I am confident that if I keep practicing and working with Steve, eventually I will get it.
Steve also shared info re his Taylor Mini guitar which is much smaller than the typical guitar, easier for me to play because the frets are smaller for smaller hands. I just bought my own Taylor Mini, a beautiful instrument which also inspires me to keep at it! Steve is also introducing some popular songs starting in lesson 3, which also makes it more enjoyable.
This is one of the best decisions I have made for myself, and I am very happy that I was lucky to find Steve. He's great!"
