My 8 year old is just getting started with lessons with Jessica, but she liked her right away. She's very patient and encouraging, no matter what sounds come from the instrument! She seems very experienced and happy to share her talent with others. (my daughter always says about Jessica's playing "her's sounds so pretty!")

Jessica is an amazing instructor! My daughter started with her last year (she was five and just turned 6) and the progress she has made is amazing! Jessica is so patient, kind, and knowledgeable. We feel so lucky to have her as our daughter’s teacher!

An experienced guitar player of 13 years. Especially good with beginners including both very young and older students. It's never too early or late to start playing! Will cater a specific personal lesson plan to your desires to make sure we move at YOUR best pace. We'll build a solid foundation so that you can learn how to teach yourself and continue to grow and love music long after these lessons. We can get you up and running with your favorite tunes or start delving into the musical theory side of things. I make sure that our lessons are fun but also challenging and I make sure we spend some time learning how to build finger strength, how to improvise, and (most importantly) how to play with other musicians!

About Joe

I've been playing multiple genres of guitar for over 14 years and currently a student at SIUE studying jazz guitar for a degree in Jazz Performance. I perform, teach, write, and record my own music. My goal as an instructor is to keep the lessons fresh, fun, interesting, and to ultimately guide the students to better teach themselves as they gain experience and familiarity with the instrument and music. Students can have their lessons catered to the music and styles they wish to pursue. Lessons are tailored to each individual student so that we can build upon their strengths and focus on lessons to improve weaker areas. Students will learn how to build dexterity, use proper technique, and be creative. Every student has different goals, some really want to learn theory and read music. Others may simply want to learn to strum a few chords. Whatever the goal, I can provide the instructions to help the student succeed!

Looking for someone to help you reach that next level? Whatever your stringed instrument, I can guide you there. From the rank basics to traditional tunes, to timing and tone, technique and theory, I can show you what you need to make your journey easier. Rely on my 15 years of music teaching experience to save you countless hours of bewilderment and frustration!

My journey as a musician which began at the age of 8 has now carried me to 48 states and a dozen countries, including 4 tours in continental Europe. I spent 7+ years performing, recording, and giving workshops with talented acoustic acts based in Nashville and the southeast. I am lucky to have been involved and contributed to a handful of IBMA and Grammy-nominated albums.

Increasingly, however, I turn my focus toward private teaching.
I find great joy and pride in helping a student reach their goals and surprise themselves with their own potential.
Go ahead and get in touch, and let's try a session together!

About Bryan

In the last decade, I’ve logged a million miles and thousands of hours of playing time as a sideman for bluegrass and acoustic acts. I’ve applied my talents to award-winning projects with top artists, adding fiddle, guitar, mandolin, banjo, and often vocals, to these albums. I've been so pleased t

I've played guitar since I was only eight years old (over 20 years!) in many different bands, styles, and genres. I played in a traditional Irish ensemble when I was in college and have since picked up banjo, mandolin, fiddle, harmonica, and bodhran (Irish hand drum). I've also helped teach group violin classes in music programs in Orlando, FL and NYC. I love playing and teaching bluegrass music, it's a special challenge both for me and the students!

About Gio

I studied music at UCF (Orlando), focusing on classical and jazz guitar, but I also have years of experience playing rock, blues, folk, hip-hop, and musical theater on both guitar and drums. I have been teaching guitar, drums, and piano for about eight years to students of all ages. Music is wh

My daughter is only six years old so Jacqueline’s patience and understanding goes a long way and they have developed a very sweet relationship.
