I have been teaching guitar for almost twenty years and have been playing for almost twenty three. It is by far one of my favorite things in life...and I love passing my knowledge and expertise on to others!

FUN!!! Learning guitar should be fun! I teach electric and acoustic guitar in a fun way. The exercises that I have you do are not boring, they are actual songs that you get better and better at playing.
I mix up the lessons and your practice with a combination of scales that can turn into instant leads, cords and the combination of cords that make up a family called a "key". I teach a variety of strum and picking patterns and styles, from folk to reggae to rock. The latest thing in playing melodies is tablature, I teach that, but I also believe that you need to be able to play regular notes as well. Best of all, you do not have to be a great lead guitarist to be a star, and if you want to sing while you play I can definitely teach you that!

I've been teaching lessons since 2005. In the guitar lesson, we will learn basic chords and note reading and playing. You will learn to play the individual notes in the song as well as play chords.

I have been teaching private piano, violin, guitar, and ukulele lessons for ten years. I won competitions, hundreds of dollars, and a scholarship through the Desert Valley Music Teacher Association (DVMTA). I have written and self-published two piano books with more in the works. I have worked on a Music Theory degree at MCC and plan to transfer to ASU to finish my bachelor's. I help students find the fun in music again with many involved music games and incentive programs. I instill a love and confidence in students of composing their own music from a young age.

If you want to get started with guitar, I'm the one you've been looking for. I'll get you started with basic theory, then I'll gradually move on to more advanced topics. I have a good background in this subject. I've actually taught this subject to a student who already had seven years experience; he didn't know how to put chords together in the right way. Guitar can be fun!

I've been playing music for 15 years, and have a bachelors degree from Lee University in Music Business B.S with an emphasis in commercial/classical guitar. From rhythm acoustic to lead electric, I am able to teach multiple genres, as well as multiple instruments. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned player, you will learn various techniques and skills such as: Finger-style, Improvisation, Chord Voicing, Music Theory, Stylist playing, Recording, and much more. We'll have a fun and learn so much together. I'm also flexible in re-scheduling and teach you what you actually want to learn.
