I have been singing in public since 1976 (professionally since 1993).

I use a very practical and simple approach. I like to teach the natural voice.

Classic singing technique and performance skills are at the heart of what I teach. Lessons start with exercises that help you learn how to take deep natural breaths and use your diaphragm to support your voice. Vocal exercises will help you develop the quality of your voice and increase your range making it easier to hit those high notes. You will also learn how to use phrasing as you sing to put feeling into the words and connect with the audience. As your voice develops you will build a repertoire of music in any style that you like to sing.

Michelle has been teaching Singing for over 10 years and her students have gone on to study music performance, classical voice and musical theater at the college and university levels. Some of her students wish to improve their singing abilities purely for their own enjoyment and fulfillment. Others have had great success with variety of singing achievements including school performances, competitions, community theater as well as going on to professional level performance opportunities. Within the first few lessons, you'll begin to get to know your unique authentic voice, have a greater understanding of how to use it in healthy ways and how to better cultivate your personal singing goals. As time goes on you'll gain the confidence and skills necessary to support you on your unique musical journey. With over 20 years of singing professionally and countless award nominations for my work in musical theatre. Classically trained myself I want everyone I work with to fedl confident in their vocal abilities. Whether you are getting ready for an audition, or just wanna wow em at the next karaoke night. Or maybe your a music enthusiast that cant wait to learn mor about the history and stylings or a certain genre of music. My lessons are designed to explore all area of music from music theory, vocal performance, sight reading, and beyond.

I am an experienced musician and performer with a variety of teaching skills gained over 20 years of study and action. Lessons in my studio are about so much more than just learning to sing a song or write music. Students are instilled with business knowledge, work ethic, and confidence so that they can truly accomplish whatever they set their minds to. We go deep and focus on how to develop new mental and physical habits that can help the student better express his/herself. We work hard on a curriculum that is specifically catered to the student's needs, and of course, is fun too!

I've worked with students from ages 6-65, with varying backgrounds and interests. From complete beginners to professional performing artists. All students are guaranteed to see improvement in their technical skills within the first month of lessons. Let's do this!

I offer an individual approach with every student I work with! The lessons are catered to students' goals. I will be graduating in May with a BFA in musical theatre and I have experience teaching ages 4-13. I can teach the following vocal styles:
