I teach singers of all genres (country, classical, pop, bluegrass, rock…) to sing with confidence and freedom!

I have a M.M in vocal performance from the Chicago College of Performing Arts and have extensive operatic training. I teach a technique that allows the singer to sing with freedom, and access their entire range evenly. I also work with students to develop style, interpretation, languages, and acting ability.

I sing in international houses as an opera singer, and I would love to pass on everything that I have learned over my twenty years of singing onstage. I specialize in classical voice, but good singing technique is universal, and I would be very happy to assist you at any level, from the very beginner to the very advanced. My core vocal principals are breath, alignment, placement, and last but definitely not least, joy and love of music. I am also a pianist, and I can assist you with piano or music theory/ learning skills.

As a classically trained vocalist with undergraduate and masters degrees in vocal performance, I have well grounded classical training, but my experience in traditional and contemporary musical theatre makes me a well-rounded vocalist who is comfortable in all styles! I hope to create well rounded musicians who are not only confident singers but also have knowledge of music theory and general musicianship!

I've worked with all kinds of students and their personal goals. My syllabus covers 50 lessons with quizzes and a vast array of theory, workable exercises and the tools to open your own natural talent as well as improve challenges.

I've taught for over 25 years and had experiences all over Europe and in the Sacramento Choral Society, the Boston Pops and the Sacramento Ballet as well as performances at Carnegie Hall and countless other engagements. I have a dozen CD's with choirs I've been associated with, which only means that I've had the privilege of working with many wonderful conductors and learned at their hands.
