Piano Lessons in Marionville. Amazing Teachers.

I teach using a combination of your books and Hal Leonard method books depending on your level. I specialize in playing ergonomically and musically so that you can enjoy making music!

I have designed each of my lessons to be like pieces of Legos. Starting from lesson one each lesson fits the next. This eliminates and confusion and gaps in my students knowledge and technical skills. I make everything simple, easy to understand and apply.
I define Music as the science or study of sound in relation to melody, harmony and rhythm. Once I get my students to understand each of these elements and how they work individually and together sky is the limit.

For younger students, I use the Albert Young Beginner lesson book and activity book. The lesson book teaches basic piano skills at a good pace for young beginners, and the activity book reiterates what the lesson book teaches, but in different fun ways. For older students, I use the Bastien series of Piano instruction for my piano lessons. I use the Lesson book for teaching basic playing skills, the Theory book for basic theory. In addition to this, I like to eventually include A Dozen A Day exercise books and Hannon finger exercises, scales, and arpeggios. I feel this method of teaching will lead to well-rounded, quick improvement!

As a private instructor, Nicholas seeks to develop students of his own to build excellent technique that they may become confident and comfortable pianists in any style they desire.

I provide a selection of music books to read from, a piano keyboard if the student does not have one, and a lesson recording device. Students may provide any music they wish to work on.

I approach private lessons with an open ear and an open mind, preferring to take cues from my students' own interests as a guide towards choosing repertoire and building a foundation in theory and technique that will best suit each individual student's needs and goals for their study with me. I teach all styles and genres; no one style is 'sacred' or above any other!

I am a graduate piano performance student and love teaching everyone, who wants to learn play piano! At the same lesson's time I can also teach music theory. I have a lot of teaching experience and can explain the lesson both to beginners and already advanced students. Currently teaching over Zoom!
