I have been studding strings from age 8, starting on violin. I switched over to cello when I turned 13 and received scholarships to potentially attend the University of Pacific in Stockton, CA. I instead studied cello at the University of California, Santa Barbara where I had the opportunity to perform in the university's symphonic orchestra and teach private lessons to college students as well. I have experience teaching from the Suzuki method, but consider myself to be a flexible educator and teach many methods according to the needs of the student.

I have been teaching cello to students of all ages for over six years. I aim to tailor my teaching plans to each student’s unique goals and learning habits. I structure my lessons so that students learn and play what they enjoy, while also building a strong foundation of fundamental cello technique.

Hello, my name is Bailey and I love teaching cello! I am a professional pianist and public school orchestra teacher. I have a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education and a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from the Fredonia School of Music. I am a certified K-12 music teacher in New York State. I have been giving private lessons for 10 years to a variety of learners ranging in age and skill level.

I am a professional cellist and private educator based in Los Angeles, California. I have seventeen years of cello experience, including a Bachelors in Music from the prestigious University of North Texas. I earned my Masters of Music in Cello Performance at Oklahoma State University, where my research included pedagogy and performance practice.

My former teachers include Shawn Sanders (2006-2010), Nikola Ružević (-2014) and Dr. Meredith Blecha-Wells (-2016). I have performed masterclasses for artists including Phyllis Young, Bion Tsang, Dobrila Berković-Magdalenič, Johnathan Ruck, and Kari Caldwell.

My primary education used Suzuki Method materials along with exercises by Popper and Dotzauer, and later more advanced studies such as Feuillard, Duport, and Piatti. My teaching uses these resources, in addition to personalized exercises, to help my students achieve their musical goals. Cello has brought me all over the world! I've play in pit orchestras for musical theater and in classical chamber orchestras, recorded on folk records and electronic albums, performed in Indian music festivals and the Montreux Jazz festival! Lessons with me will be rooted in an understanding of the instrument that can be applied to any genre.
