Are you interested in learning how to write a song? Do you play an instrument or sing and want to take that next step of songwriting seriously?
I've been writing songs for as long as I've been around music, and whether they were good or bad, I never stopped writing. Songwriting for me is as therapeutic as journaling, and over the last 10 years I've taught myself how to craft a song out of my own life experience. So far I've released 2 full-length albums that I've written myself; about my life. (Side-note: you don't have to be a musician to write a song, but it is helpful to know an instrument.)
In our lessons we will start where you are at, whether you're a beginner to writing or have had plenty of experience, I can help you find your voice and write that song you've always dreamt of. In our lesson plan we can also eventually record your song so you can have a professional recording of your own music (whether I play in the recording or you is your choice!) If you have any ...

Mark is an American composer, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and music producer.
I started teaching private music lessons my senior year of high school, in 2006. Since then I've taught over 50 different students of all ages from 3 years old to 61 years old. While still living in Ohio, I was the one and only official guitar teacher for Guitar Center Youngstown through the duration of 2008-2009. In late 2009, after moving to Los Angeles, I continued to teach privately all around the city. I currently live in West Hollywood with my wife and dog. I plan to continue teaching private students for the rest of my life.

I have written and recorded well over 100 professional level songs. I teach how to understand diatonic structure and chord resolution and how, once you know the "rules" you can break them all to play exactly what you hear should be in the song.

I've been teaching songwriting sessions for Girls Rock Camp, the Girl Scouts and a few Youth Programs in the area. Song writing sessions is a workshop that helps my students place their words into a rhythm. This class is great for group lessons.

I started my musical path in a Ballet Studio. I fell in love with the crackle of the vinyl record playing as I learned to listen and dance with the rhythm. I started playing the guitar when I was in elementary and took classical lessons until I was a teenager.I really enjoy the art of practice
