i've been having fun playing guitar since i was fifteen years old, and i've had so much fun that i've just never stopped! i would love to show you how to have all this fun too :-)

Berklee Graduate with two degrees in Music and a Conservatory diploma. I love teaching and I have been doing it professionally for almost two decades. I can teach any level and most popular genres, as I have been working as a session musician in Los Angeles and helped hundreds of students reach their goals for many years.

Hi! I am very excited to start you off on your guitar journey. I have been teaching music for six years and am passionate about giving students an effective and engaging musical education. In guitar lessons, we will be learning the names of the strings, chords, strumming patterns, musical theory techniques, and fingerpicking. We will spend part of the lesson working on and learning the techniques mentioned above, and the other part of the lesson learning songs of your choosing.

I teach the basics of learning acoustic guitar technique including: Selecting an appropriate guitar for the student, correct holding of the guitar, finger and hand placement, guitar notes and scales, guitar tablature, reading and playing guitar chords, strumming and picking, playing guitar songs from most genres and music theory. I also teach electric bass guitar and ukulele, beginner through intermediate. I teach guitar in most genres of music (except hip-hop and rap). I have been playing acoustic guitar since I was 10 years old, and have a great deal of experience in playing most genres and techniques, I am used to accompanying groups of people in different settings on the guitar. I learned to play ukulele as one of my first instruments. I learned to play electric bass guitar in stage band and in a rock group in high school. I love the guitar and it is one of my favorite instruments because of its versatility.

I love classical guitar, and I am passionate about not only helping students grow as musicians, but to grow in their passion for music as well.

I teach classical guitar and host an instructional YouTube channel. I received professional training at the University of Washington in Seattle, and I have taken lessons with the composer/guitarist Kevin Callahan.

I have taught students from age 4 to 80, and I know how to make learning enjoyable for the young and less young. I have learned how to be an encouraging and constructive instructor as I train students in how to play and practice.

Guitar Lessons:
Students will play all kinds of music, from classical to country and rock. Beginners will develop the basics: reading music, tablature, tuning, chords, and scales. Experienced players will improve technique, chord and scale theory, ear training and performance.
