Experienced music teacher with nearly 10 years experience teaching students of all ages and abilities from beginner to advanced. I also have experience teaching music to students with special needs, including autism and total vision impairment. I begin accepting students for guitar at age 4 and teach students up to age 99+. The ukulele is a great instrument for any age, but especially good for very young students or folks with smaller hands that find guitar too challenging to handle. With lessons from me, you'll learn to read music and understand tab, develop your ear for hearing music (ear training), music theory, and technique with a goal of getting you playing your favorite style of music in the quickest time possible. I can teach you to play whatever style you wish. I can even help you learn to compose your own music! In that time, I've worked with students of almost every conceivable age and ability level on a wide variety of instruments (ukulele, guitar, bass guitar, banjo, harmonica, piano) and am here to help make your musical dreams come true.

I customize my lessons to the needs/learning style of each individual student with a focus on technique, music theory, and songwriting. With all that in mind, I'd love to hear about your musical goals and figure out the best path to get you there.

I learned from some great musicians out west that the ukulele can be really fun and have more range of notes too when tuned GDAE as a violin would be tuned. Ever since I learned that I have loved playing the ukulele and also have fun helping others to become well versed in playing many styles of music on there. One can play rhythm, melodies, improvise, write songs, play almost any style of music on a ukulele.
