I started playing in orchestra when I was 9, I have been teaching orchestra in the public school system since 2016, and I have been teaching private lessons for over 8 years now! I am primarily a viola player, but these days, as a teacher, I teach more violin players than anything else! I love string instruments so much, and I love getting to share the experience of making music with string instruments with others.

With over 13 years of experience in improvisation in many different musical styles on the violin, I will show you the methods to explore and teach yourself any type of musical style you'd wish to play!

Although being mainly a Jazz violinist, I have performed and recorded in many different musical genres and improvisation styles including Blues, Trad Jazz, Rock, Indian Classical music, Bluegrass, Jewish Klezmer music and more. Since students spend most of their crucial development time individually in the practice room, as a teacher my biggest ambition is to teach my students 'how to be your own teacher' (I know it's kinda shooting myself in the foot :] ). Based on my 20 years experience playing the violin and other instruments, my training in Alexander technique, teaching artistry, psychology, philosophy and meditation, I've accumulated a set of methods and ideas about how to ...

I am not only passionate about violin but a people lover! I enjoy working with young ones and helping adults achieve their musical goal on their bucket list. My 10 years of violin experience has made me into the person I am today, and I can not imagine life without music. I want to teach my students the beauty of the violin and that it is a fun hobby. I have studied the violin with Manuel Diaz, Sylvia Whers, Tzu-yi Chen, Ruslan Apostolov, Tian Xu, Gina Moody, Lazslo Stan, James Palmer, Jon Carmack, and Boris Abromov. Studying with several teachers has made me learn through different perspectives which I can share with my students. I have been concertmaster for most of the orchestras I have played in and made a state-wide orchestra audition.

I strive to create an environment in which students are inspired to discover, create, learn, express themselves and have fun. I focus on strengthening students' foundational techniques, through scales, etudes and other materials and then applying those skills in pieces and songs that are designed to build a good basis of musical knowledge, helping students to become confident in their musical abilities.

When I was 20, I thought I should teach the violin. I like this instrument, and I want to share it with more people. Many people think it is not easy to learn, it doesn't start well, and it even pulls my neck. I think I wanted to tell everyone that this is an instrument that's so easy to play and doesn't cause any discomfort and hurt. So I spent many years studying to explore and think about how to teach it the easiest way, especially For beginners, how can they continue to practice. I think that through years of teaching and thinking, I have mastered some good ideas.
