I love showing other people how to play musical instruments, especially cello! If you're a beginner, I'll get you playing music right away; note-reading, scales, and stuff can come later. If you've been playing for a little while, we can work together to help you learn new skills, new music, and practice techniques that can help you progress quickly while avoiding frustration.

About Sammy

Hello, I'm Sammy! Making music is one of my favorite things to do. I believe that music is for everyone and lessons are about you, the student. So we can tailor your lessons to whatever you need. Whether you're a beginner, playing/learning for fun, or looking to enhance your playing, I can help

Thomas and Sammy connected right away. Thomas had a terrible experience last year and following that, wouldn't even pick up his cello without proadding and arguing. This afternoon he picked up his cello and started playing the minute he got home from school. Yea! Prayer answered!

My first lesson was extremely productive. I am an adult student and hadn't played in many years and Max focused on techniques to help me with my weaknesses, and to quickly surpass the level of playing I was previously at. He is patient, encouraging and an excellent teacher.

Max is a fantastic teacher! As a parent I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a very experienced, kind, and fun teacher. Max is all of these things plus more. What I really like about him, besides that he is very knowledgable and amazingly talented, is that he always has a positive attitude! Lila loves to go to her lessons and she learned so much during her time with Max.

This system can take you from the very beginner level to composing freely in a shorter time than you ever imagined possible! We use a natural system. You learn how to create sounds that match the melody. You will listen differently than you ever did before. Come and harmonize a melody and you will never look at creating music the same way again.

This is a modern system, but solidly rooted in groundwork thoughtfully prepared in the 1800's!

"My lesson was very rewarding - excellent instructor , if you have a question he has an answer . He knows the guitar - Mr. Tomas makes you feel at ease , I was having a problem with my short fingers . He told me all the things that I was not doing correct and this was my first lesson - He made me feel really good when I did something right .

I have known Mr . Tomas for a short period of time and believe me if he can teach me and I am 70 years old and I have tired taking lessons before and they never worked out . Mr . Tomas is the person to go with ."

I would pick songs and she would help break them down and understand the sentence structure, and how to use the physicality of my body, internally and externally, to produce the sound I am trying to get. She has helped bring me to the next level for singing as a hobby. I would use Sara if you have an idea of what you want to do so she can help you take it to the next level and learn to use your body and voice in a new way."

Kawai vs. Yamaha: Who Makes Better Pianos?

Getting ready to buy your first piano, but not sure which manufacturer to look into? Here, St. Augustine, FL teacher Heather L. shares a bit about two of the best piano brands...   Two of the first questions that I get from parents of my piano students are "What kind of piano should I get?" and "What are the best piano brands?" The facts of the matter are that our modern piano is a 19th century invention about which many people, even pianists, don't know a lot about, and the curren …
